Fruit of one only man's (Laurent) passion for the dark side of music, The French Black Metal band Mourning Dawn was born in September 2002 with the very confidential release of the first demo called "Mourning Dawn".
Recorded with a small budget, this album already shows a line-up which wants to avoid stereotypes while giving a dark and violent music.
The few feedbacks that this demo received encouraged its genitor to make a continuation.

The group draws from the musical Pantheon where Jim Morrisson and Léo Ferré, Hawkwind and Béla Bartok cross, and the most inventive formations of the moment, like Tuxedomoon or Mechanic. Emit is a British ambient/black noise band consisting of four members, a guitarist/vocalist, two percussionists and another vocalist. The band formed from the remnants of a short-lived black metal band of 1998 called Ante Cryst. They continued from there, playing experimental black metal/noise (black noise) and gaining some notoriety in the underground scene (as other black noise like Nebiros and Stalaggh popped up, and labels like Todestrieb and Autumn Winds began representing them). After 10 years, Emit is moving onto a new phase.
There are at least (7) artists that share this name: 1) German Black/Doom Metal band, formed in the year 2004 by Johannes, Albert and Karl in Lübeck. While they started out playing a style deeply rooted in Depressive Black Metal, later on the music evolved toward a calmer, more solemn direction.
