Leviathan

At least 18 artists have used the Leviathan moniker: 1) Leviathan, aka Wrest, is a one-man black metal project from San Francisco, California. The band was brought to life in 1998 and was put on hold in Oct. 2007 due to a legal dispute with the record label. Wrest brought the project back in January 2008 to release the latest album. Wrest plays every instrument found in Leviathan's music; guitar (electric + acoustic), drums, bass, synths, ebow, and vocals.

Negative Plane

black metal band born in 2001 from Gainesville, Florida. Their first full-length album, Et In Saecula Saeculorum, was released in 2006 by Ajna Offensive on CD. In 2007, the vinyl version, a 2xLP of the album appeared as well as a second pressing of the CD. Both the vinyl and CD re-press have a completely different mix from the first pressing CD. This album was preceded by the "Surreality" EP demo in 2002 and a "Promotional Cassette" in 2004.

Woe

There are three artists named Woe. The first is a Black Metal band from New Jersey, USA, formed in 2007. The second is a noise / punk / jazz band who formed in 2000 in Southend-on-Sea, UK and split in 2004. Woe (US): Woe was created in early 2007 to create potent black metal. Originally intended as nothing more than a casual experiment, it quickly changed from bedroom black metal project to the primary musical force in its creators life.

Goatwhore

Goatwhore is a blackened death metal band from the swamps of New Orleans, LA. They were formed by well known musicians from the Louisiana metal scene. They first came together in 1996/97 when Sammy Duet (former Acid Bath/Crowbar guitarist) and Zak Nolan (former drummer of Goatwhore, now replaced by Zack Simmons) jammed together as a little sideproject when Acid Bath was taking a break. They soon made some four track demos.

Twilight

There are at least 18 artists with this name: 1.) Consisting of masterminds of various notorious US black metal acts such as Wrest (Leviathan, Lurker of Chalice), Imperial (Krieg, March Into The Sea), Azentrius (Nachtmystium), Hildolf (Draugar) and Aaron Turner (Isis), the all star band Twilight plays rough, depressive black metal.
Southern Lord Records released Twilight's self titled debut full length CD + LP in 2005 in the US while Total Holocaust Records handled the CD version for Europe.

There are several bands called "Wraith" which include the following: 1)Industrial/Coldwave project :wraith: originally from houston, texas, though now in chicago, illinois. wraith was started in 1997 and has appeared on several compilations, most notably, The Thirdwave Collective's debut compilation. wraith is currently working on new and revised material after a short hiatus in which core member spent time in the U.S. Army Infantry. Inquisition

There is more than one artist with this name 1. Inquisition (US) is a black metal band based in Seattle, Washington with origins in Colombia where the founder, Dagon, was living at the time. The band was fully realized in 1996 when Dagon left Colombia for the US and met Incubus who joined on drums. This line-up has remained stable for more than ten years. Their sound involves the combination of old school thrash metal, major guitar progressions with the depth and darkness of black metal's chaotic minor guitar progressions.

Masochist

(1) Pioneers of US black metal, Masochist operated between 1992 and 1995 and released four demos and one EP of unforgiving, brutal black metal noise. Band members were also involved in fellow hellish noisemakers Summon and Wind Of The Black Mountains. (2) Dov J. Elkabas aka 'The Prophet' was born on 5 November 1968. He started deejaying in 1983. He first discovered turntables when he visited a roller disco (Het Nijlpaardenhuis) in Amsterdam.
