Starving Weirdos are from northern California's lost coast, a sleepy hamlet surrounded by five hours of wilderness in all directions. They are a wild and desperate style music band. They dig on the quiet and natural beauty that defines their environs and try to carry the same spirit of dignity mixed with brute force and docile felicity as it appears to them daily. No discord and no harmony.
There are moments of genuine noise and terror on singer-songwriter Daughn Gibson's debut solo LP, All Hell, but not of the devil's-horns kind. Instead, the 31-year-old Carlisle, Pennsylvania, resident fashions ghostly, haunting country-ish ballads out of Christian gospel samples and looping audio software while his rich baritone narrates small-town tragedy.
Gibson's affinity for country music-- as well as the genre's cherished storytelling tradition-- began when he started driving trucks for a living nearly a decade ago.

Glenn Miller was born in Clarinda, Iowa on March 1, 1904, the son of Mattie Lou (née Cavender) and Lewis Elmer Miller.[1][2] He went to grade school in North Platte, Nebraska. In 1915, Miller's family moved to Grant City, Missouri. Around this time, Miller was given his first trombone and then played in the town orchestra. In 1918, the Miller family moved again, this time to Fort Morgan, Colorado where Glenn went to high school.
Tom Brosseau is a performing songwriter who grew up on the wide-open prairies of the Red River Valley of North Dakota, in a family steeped in traditional music and culture. Citing influences as diverse as Nick Drake, Cole Porter, and Woody Guthrie, Brosseau composes poetic new Dylan-esque folk inflected acoustic rock. Delived in a unique high lonesome sound, his minimalist sound has often been described as "haunting", or simply "stunning".
