Nizlopi were a British two man band from Leamington Spa, UK with Luke Concannon (vocals, guitar, bodhran) and John Parker (double bass, beatbox, guitar, backing vocals). They were initially friends who've been writing and playing music together since their early teens. They take their band name from a Hungarian girl that Luke had a crush on at school. Nizlopi gigged relentlessly since the start of the 21st century.
Andy James is an electric guitarist from Norfolk, UK. He is perhaps best known as a regular contributor to "Lick Library", a dealer of guitar tuition videos, books and cds, where James specialises in teaching lead techniques for heavy rock and metal. Aside from this, James has also recorded solo albums In the Wake of Chaos, Machine and Andy James and is a member of the band Sacred Mother Tongue. In his solo recordings Andy exhibits a predominant influence of Joe Satriani as well as other comparable guitar legends.
Son Lux is Ryan Lott. His debut recording, At War With Walls and Mazes (2008), earned him the title of "Best New Artist" by NPR's All Songs Considered. Volcano Choir is an American indie band that started as a collaboration between Justin Vernon (of Bon Iver) and Collections of Colonies of Bees. Their debut album is Unmap and was released on September 22, 2009. It reached number 92 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. A second album, Repave, was released on September 3, 2013.
The project originally came together with songs being written in 2005. It was not recorded until the fall of 2008 in Fall Creek, Wisconsin, USA.
