3. Hungarian Progressive Metal band 1. The dark monumental cult of The Stone was born in 1996. At first the darkness was spreading under the different band name, known as STONE TO FLESH. February '97, first demo called "Serbian Woods" was recorded followed by first live appearances.
In late 2004, Tobias Weinreich (Bass), Sebastian Scherrer (Keyboards), Marco Schomas (Vocals) and Simon Schillinger (Guitar) founded Finsterforst. They were still seeking more members however, so instead concentrated purely on songwriting. As a result, they created many songs without being able to perform them until later on. In spring 2005 the band decided to introduce an accordion player (Johannes Joseph) into the mix, a choice which has helped to shape their unique sound.
There are three bands named Triskele, one is black metal from Canada, another is an Estonian folk group, and the other is an NSBM group from Scotland. The Estonian Triskele started its activities in 1997 with the aim to perform Estonian folk music, concentrating on ancient runesongs and folk hymns.

This page represents several different artists/bands using the name North/NORTH. NORTH is the moniker of the Arizona based atmospheric sludge metal quintet.
Formed by drummer Zachary Hansen, bassist Evan Leek, and guitarist Ty Engle as an instrumental trio in 2005, NORTH added guitarist Matthew Mutterperl and self released their EP "Siberia" in the Summer of 2006, followed by extensive touring. In 2007 the group released their follow up EP "Ruins".
There are many bands under the name of Valhalla, 10 of them are metal. 1) The best known Valhalla hails from Petrozavodsk, Rusland and has released one album under the name of "Hail To The Fallen Majesty" in 2003. 2) There is another Valhalla originating from Bedfordshire in England from 1979 playing progressive metal. They had two national single releases on the NEAT records label, "Coming Home" and the double A sides of "Jack" and "Still in Love with You" together with tracks on the compilation album sponsored by the popular music paper SOUNDS.
