The Paradise Motel

The Paradise Motel are an Australian band originally active from 1995 to 2000, who reconvened in 2008. Current band members (2008-)
Charles Bickford (guitar, organ), Matthew Aulich (guitar, organ), Merida Sussex (vocals), BJ Austin (guitar, organ), Esme MacDonald (bass), Campbell Shaw (violin), Andy Hazel (drums) - replaced Damien Hill following Hill's death in December 2008. The band formed in Hobart, Tasmania but then, soon after Bickford, Aulich, and Bailey in 1995 moved to Melbourne.They found their new lead singer, Merida Sussex, working in the St Kilda Public Library.

The critically acclaimed musician first appeared in the early '90s armed with only his four-track tape recorder, his unexpectedly low vocal range, and an extremely detuned guitar.

Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn was born September 17, 1974, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has released a number of albums under the K Records label. She has collaborated with her close friend Phil Elvrum of The Microphones and has also worked extensively with The Black Cat Orchestra. Mirah is the youngest of three children and lived in Bala Cynwyd, a suburb of Philadelphia for most of her childhood. She then moved to Olympia, Washington and attended The Evergreen State College. She is modest and deliberate, prefers privacy to invasion and reconciliation to war.

Born in 2458BC and frozen in Dr. Frankenstein's lab until rats chewed through the mains plug, Jim'll has found his way to London via a mix up at FedEx. He now performs a one man show that includes songs about mental illness, Damon Albarn and stalking, and this year will be releasing the all new album, "Brain Damage". Danny Elfman

Daniel Robert "Danny" Elfman (born May 29, 1953) is an American , best known as the lead singer and songwriter for the rock band Oingo Boingo, from 1976 to 1995 and later for scoring music for television and film and creating The Simpsons main title theme as well as the 1989 Batman movie theme. He has scored the majority of the films for his long-time friend Tim Burton. Born in Los Angeles, he entered the film industry in 1976, initially as an actor. He made his film scoring debut in 1980 for the film Forbidden Zone directed by his older brother Richard Elfman.

Hawks And Doves

Hawks and Doves consists of one Mr. Gared O'Donell. Gared is best known for his time as the roaring and erratic front-man of the now defunct Planes Mistaken for Stars. So far Hawks and Doves only has a few rough demos recorded and one track with a full band (with some help of ex PMFS alum) called "Hush Money" There are murmurs of an ep to be released on No Idea Records at some point.

Carla Cook

Carla Cook is a Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist. A Detroit, Michigan native, music seized hold of Cook at an early age. As a student at Cass Technical High School she played string bass in the school orchestra, studied piano and voice on weekends, and sang in her church’s choir. An elder brother introduced her to jazz, Cook chose voice as her instrument of choice, and she became a disciple of jazz icon Eddie Jefferson, founder of a singing technique called ‘vocalese’ where a singer sings lyrics to a famous instrumental solo.
