The instrumental, Sydney-based quartet Serious Beak represent an eccentric amalgamation of mind-melting, toe-tapping, psychedelic, progressive and poly-rhythmic discordant music. Their style is marked by compulsion; by weaving, complex compositions and mind-bending opposing rhythms, which speak to the attention-deficient crowd as much as progressive and math music aficionados. Mother Eel is a metal five piece, that was a four piece, and that formed, firstly, as a three piece in 2003 in the Cold, Dark and Evil, Blue Mountains Australia. The sound has been described as one being gang raped by clowns on smack. They have been well received by audiences with mixed musical tastes, and are praised and otherwise for their crushingly oppressive live performances. Mother Eel are, in a way, attached to Grindhead Records.

Blindead was founded in Gdynia, Poland in 1999 by Michal Zimorski (Zima) - bass and Mateusz Smierzchalski (Havoc) - guitar. Few months later, Marek Zielinski (Deadman) - guitar, Konrad Ciesielski - drums and Patryk Adamczyk - vocals, joined the band. It was a casual project made for pleasure rather than a professional band. Besides, in the same time, Havoc became the guitarist of Behemoth and it was his priority.
