Following the success of Chloé’s The Waiting Room, the label Kill The DJ continues to redefine a certain idea of electro music with the long-awaited release of the first album by REMOTE, aka Seb Fouble & Eric Guillanton. 2000-2003: the post-French touch period, everybody is on the look out for something new, and that something new is somewhere out there on vinyl. France Jobin aka i8u (b. 1958) is a sound / installation / web artist residing in Montreal, Canada. i8u's audio art can be qualified as "sound-sculpture". It reveals powerful, opaque and complex sound environments where analog and digital meet. Her installation/web art can be said to follow a parallel path, incorporating both musical and visual elements. i8u has created solo recordings for ROOM40 (Australia), bake/staalplaat (Netherlands), as well as many collaborations notably with Goem, Martin T
Seaworthy refers to at least two different groups/projects : 1. Seaworthy, a three-piece collectivefrom Sydney, Australia that primarily revolves around core member Cameron Webb as well as Sam Shinazzi and Greg Bird, was formed in early 2000 to explore melodic and experimental approaches to the construction (and unravelling) of minimalist soundscapes from looped guitar, warm drones, piano, electronics and field recordings.

Men Without Hats is a Canadian alternative / Synthpop group from Montreal, Quebec, Canada formed in 1977 who were popular in the 80s. They were characterized by the deep, expressive vocals of their lead singer Ivan and their elaborate use of synthesizers and electronic processing. Men Without Hats were always, at the core, Ivan Doroschuk (also released solo as Ivan) and his brother Stefan Doroschuk, with various other members, including a third brother, Colin Doroschuk, as well as Jeremy Arrobas, tracy howe, Roman Martyn and Allan McCarthy.
