There are two different artists under the name Minamo: An electro-acoustic rock group and a Free Jazz/Classical Duo. 1. In 1999, the electro-acoustic group Minamo was formed by Keiichi Sugimoto and Tetsuro Yasunaga. In 2000, minamo's self-released CD-R "wakka" was reissued by the New York label Quakebasket. This release was selected by Matmos as one of best sounds in 2001 in The Wire magazine.
In 2001 two new members joined, Yuiichiro Iwashita (guitar) and Namiko Sasamoto (sax, organ), to make the band a quartet. In 2002, first CD album ".kgs" has released by the Tokyo label 360 records.

Leo Abrahams (b. 1977) studied composition at the Royal Academy of Music before embarking on a career as a guitarist, arranger and producer. He has enjoyed long-standing associations with Brian Eno (appearing on several albums), Ed Harcourt with whom he has toured and recorded for 6 years, and film composer David Holmes (Oceans12 and the award-winning Code 46). He has also collaborated with artists as diverse as Rachid Taha, Paul Simon, Nik Kershaw, Grace Jones, Nick Cave and Imogen Heap among many others.

1) Based in Athens, Greece, AZA attempts to tweak ordinary sounds & sights to match his ordinary everyday experience. 2) There is another band called Aza, playing Tamazight (Berber) influenced music out of Santa Cruz, USA. Seaworthy refers to at least two different groups/projects : 1. Seaworthy, a three-piece collectivefrom Sydney, Australia that primarily revolves around core member Cameron Webb as well as Sam Shinazzi and Greg Bird, was formed in early 2000 to explore melodic and experimental approaches to the construction (and unravelling) of minimalist soundscapes from looped guitar, warm drones, piano, electronics and field recordings.
