Betray The Oracle is a solo Funeral Death Doom project which started in Mount Compass, South Australia. Inspired by bands like Shape of Despair, Mournful Congregation and Evoken.
All instruments and vocals are done by Levi Siegmann.
Betray the Oracle has made it's first proper, physical release through Iron Guardian Industries May 2012. This release is a EP/Split with Flesh Incineration (a solo grindcore project from the USA) called The Funeral Grind on 10" vinyl limited to 25 copies.

Mournful Congregation is a funeral doom metal band from Adelaide, Australia, founded in 1993.
The music revolves around melodies on electric and/or acoustic guitar and is further characterised by minimal drums, deep growled and whispered vocals. Main lyrical themes are personal spirituality, mysticism and depression.
In 2009, the band performed live for the first time in their 15 year existence, with 4 Australian shows, and another 17 shows throughout Europe to promote their 2009 album "The June Frost".

The roots of Officium Triste go back to the early nineties when Martin and Johan decided to form a metal-band. The name of this band was Reïncremated. The last line-up of this band decided to quit and reform under a new moniker with a different musical approach; that was in the spring of 1994. The new moniker became Officium Triste and musically they started to compose heavy and melodic doom metal. The start of Officium Triste went pretty smooth and new songs were composed quite fast. This resulted in the decision to record a demo.
