Alison Moyet

Alison Moyet (born Genevieve Alison Jane Moyet on 18 June 1961), is an English pop singer-songwriter noted for her bluesy voice. Moyet was born in Billericay, Essex, England to a French father and English mother. She grew up in Basildon, where she attended school. After leaving school at 16, she worked as a shop worker and a piano tuner. She was involved in a number of punk rock, pub rock and blues bands in the South East Essex area during the late 1970s and early 1980s, including The Vandals and the Screamin' Ab Dabs, The Vicars and The Little Roosters.

Culture Club

Culture Club was a popular 1980s pop group, perhaps most noticeable for their gender-bending frontman Boy George. The other members of the band were Roy Hay on guitars and keyboards, Mikey Craig playing bass and Jon Moss (ex Damned, London, Adam and the Ants) on drums. Their first album, 1982's Kissing to Be Clever, became a major international hit, spawning the hit singles "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" (which went 'all the way' in the BBC-Charts in late 1982), "Time (Clock of the Heart)", and "I'll Tumble 4 Ya".

Shawn Colvin

Shawn Colvin (born January 10, 1956 in Vermillion, South Dakota) is an American musician. Best known for her hit single "Sunny Came Home" from the album "A Few Small Repairs". Colvin's formative years were spent in the town of Carbondale, Illinois, where she attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She learned to play guitar at the age of 10. Her first public concert was at age 15 at the University of Illinois campus. Colvin cites Joni Mitchell as a primary influence on her music, and her initial performances closely mirrored Mitchell's inflections and guitar tunings.

Turbo

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Turbo is a metal band. It was started in January 1980 by Henryk Tomczak (formerly in Stress and Heam, both pioneering groups). The first line-up were formed by Wojciech Hoffmann – guitar, Wojciech Anioła – drums and Wojciech Sowula – vocals. Soon a single was released, the tracks being W środku tej nocy (Deep in the Night) and Byłem z tobą tyle lat (So many years with you).

Tango released some massive tunes in the early days of hardcore on labels including Formation, F-Project and Creative Wax. He has also collaborated with artists such as Essence of Aura, Dj Ratty & DJ Pulse. Tango is a trained chef and after taking a break from the scene for a few years he is now back producing and DJing drum & bass.

Jason Donovan (born 1 June 1968, Malvern, Melbourne, Australia) is Australian Entertainer. Like one time girlfriend Kylie Minogue Jason left the popular soap opera 'Neighbours' to pursue a pop career via the Stock Aitken Waterman 'Hit Factory', PWL.
His hits included the singles "Nothing Can Divide Us", "Too Many Broken Hearts", "Sealed With A Kiss", "Everyday" from the 1989 debut disc "10 Good Reasons".

Mike Peters

Mike Peters first rose to prominence in the mid-80s as lead singer of the Welsh band The Alarm, leaving that group in 1991 to begin a solo career. After the infamous Brixton academy gig, he retreated to a small church in North Wales to write new material for his solo career. Over a year later he emerged, refreshed, and contacted The Alarm's fan club. He then went on tour and funded his own fan club, The MPO (Mike Peters organization), he hasn't looked back since. In 1992 he held The Gathering, a weekend long gig held in his hometown Rhyl.

Mullins's earlier work was influenced by acoustic and power-pop groups such as the Violent Femmes, The Producers and the Indigo Girls.

Terri Lyne Carrington

Terri Lyne Carrington (born in Medford, Massachusetts in 1965) is a world-renowned drummer, composer, producer and clinician. At seven, she was given her first set of drums, which had belonged to her grandfather, Matt Carrington. He had played with Fats Waller and Chu Berry. After studying privately for three years, she played her first major performance at the Wichita Jazz Festival with Clark Terry. At age 11 she received a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music. At 12 years old she was profiled on the PBS kids' biography program Rebop.
