Three Daft Monkeys

Three Daft Monkeys are an alternative folk trio from Cornwall, although the guitarist/vocalist sounds decidedly northern... Foot stomping and barn breaking brilliance, they sound good on record but blow you away live, especially at a festival (of which they play many). Check out their popular songs 'Hubbadillia', 'Faces', and 'Hey Listen'

Jason And The Scorchers

Jason and the Scorchers are one of the original alternative country bands. They formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 1981 when Jason Ringenberg, raised on a hog farm in northern Illinois and fresh out of college, came careening into Nashville looking for a "rock n' roll wild band" and found the Scorchers, three Nashville upstarts who had punk-rock leanings, stand-up comedian attitudes, great musical chops, and more than their share of vices.

The band fuses a "heavy metal revivalist" sound with the "pseudo-mysticism...of The Doors, the guitar-orchestrations of Led Zeppelin, and the three-chord crunch of AC/DC, while adding touches of post-punk goth rock".
