Empire

There are at least 7 bands called Empire. 1) Empire were an early 80's punk rock band featuring the legendary Derwood and Mark Laff of Generation X and released the classic 'Expensive Sound' LP in 1981.
Mixing indie and post-punk sounds they have been compared to early Joy Division and The Cure as well as more obvious bands like Rites of Spring. The album was re-released on CD in 2003, featuring 11 bonus tracks.

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Retaliator was a "anti-PC" Oi! band from UK.
Formed in 1996 & split up 2008.
They've released a number of albums. 2) Retaliator is a project metal band of Celtic Warrior's vocalist Billy and Nigel (Fortress, No Remorse etc.).
They've relesed album "Bring Forth The War". 3) A thrash/death metal band from Sheffield, England. In 2009, they released 'Human Disease', with the following track listing; 1 - The Unworldly Terror

Like most such bands, it is largely the product of a specific skinhead group, in this case the Melbourne "Southern Cross Hammer Skins". Fortress even shared a post-office box with the Hammer Skins in their early days.

Battlecry

There are two groups using the name Battlecry. One plays 80's-style metal with a political message. The other plays general metal with a focus on epic storytelling. Battlecry: Pro White Heavy Metal Battlecry's lyrics are about White Nationalism and the manipulation of the non-Jewish peoples by the Jewish Supremacists. David Johnn and Richard "Spartan" Stewart formed the band in 2004 because they felt like there was a serious lack of Heavy Metal representation in the Pro-White Community.

Defiance

There are 2 bands with the name Defiance: (1) Defiance is a thrash metal band from Oakland, California. While virtually unknown to mainstream metal and rock circles, Defiance is known as one of the classic second-tier thrash bands to come from the Bay Area thrash metal scene. They played a decidedly technical style of thrash originally evoking bands like Testament, though they would later move on to playing in their own unique, more progressive thrash style. They reformed in 2005 and have since release an album entitled The Prophecy in late 2009.

Redrum

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Redrum - (often stylized as REDRUM) is a Japanese indie/shoegaze rock band who formed in 1996 with the decisive goal of becoming a band similar to Portishead for Japan. The members of the band consist of Yumi (vocals), Tsuyoshi (guitar) and Kazi (drums). The role of bassist officially changed two times and was helmed primarily by Soto who joined the band early on and stayed until his departure in December 2004. Their catalogue of works consists of only a few proper albums, several mini albums and maxi singles.
