Remodel

Remodel are a guitar band, this is obvious by virtue of the fact they have a guitar player. They are also a pop band, but pop in the sense of bands like the Who, The Smiths and Blur. Like all classic British pop bands they are a fourpiece. Frontman Mr Leigh Swinn is quite tall and dark, the sort people see in crystal balls. Always smartly attired and often caustic with his words. Guitarist Mr Mark Heffernan is small and angry. He likes noise and cricket. He is also fond of tea.

Vivian Girls

There are at least two bands called Vivian Girls; 1) Disbanded Australian punk band from the 90s featuring Kody Abrams (Flesh Vs Venom, Bakelite, etc) and Sean Bailey (Lakes, etc) 2) Although only a band for a little more than a year, the Vivian Girls charms have already worked their magic on their short road to "out of nowhere" status. With their irresistable mix of 60's girl-group sounds, punk, post-punk and shoegaze, the 'Girls have mastered blurring the lines of genres and coming up with something aggressive yet beautiful; simple, gutsy music with a lot of class and melody.

Artist Type:

Masakari

Masakari unleash a devastating blend of d-beat crust and anxious hardcore descendant to His Hero Is Gone and From Ashes Rise, as well as more punk/crust founders G.I.S.M. and Discharge, and adopt these classic styles to their own point-blank, by-the-throat approach. Crushing, discordant riffing smashes its way through the barrage of ravenous drum battery, broken, eerie guitar leads entangled in the song structures, and all fueled by guttural, searing vocals that power the angry, socio-politically inspired lyrics.
