The Bank Holidays

It begins in the small Norwegian fishing town of Stavanger, as two members of The Bank Holidays spend their days playing badminton, enjoying fjords, and hanging out with Norwegian grandparents, all while listening to Norway's favourite musical sons Kings of Convenience. These factors result in a song, and the idea for a band whose primary occupation is vocal harmonies and melodies of the highest order.

Sheila Escovedo is the daughter of percussionist Pete Escovedo, with whom she frequently performs. Sheila E's uncle is Alejandro Escovedo, formerly with Delphine Neid's first-wave punk rock group The Nuns, Rank and File and The True Believers, followed by a solo career. The late Tito Puente was Escovedo's godfather. She is also niece to Javier Escovedo, founder of seminal San Diego punk act, The Zeros. Another uncle, Mario Escovedo, fronted long-running indie rockers, The Dragons. Escovedo is of Mexican, African American, and Creole heritage. Coke Escovedo was also her uncle.

Tony Humphries

A Brooklyn native, Tony Humphries is one of the most important names in the evolution of House and Garage music. He landed his first professional DJ gig at Manhattan's upper-class Club El Morocco at the tail end of the Disco explosion in 1975. Disco and Dance music fell off the Mainstream radar soon after, but Humphries remained. In 1981 he got his first big break when legendary producer Shep Pettibone requested a Mix Tape from Tony to fill in for a no show on KISS FM NY. The mix he submitted proved a success an he was given his own permanant mix show at the station shortly after.

Heather Small

Heather Small began her music career in the band Hot!House before selling over 10 million records with M People and then releasing solo material. Her debut album 'Proud' enetered the album chart at number 11. In 2005 she returned with a re-release of the single 'Proud' as it was named the official Olympic song for the successful London bid. 2006 saw Heather return with a new record label, single - Radio On and album - Close To A Miracle. 2007 saw M People tour in the UK and Poland! For 2008 they are performing a gig in Denmark.
