Linkwood is Producer, Engineer and DJ Nick Moore.
Best known for his highly acclaimed releases on Firecracker Records, including 'Miles Away' and 'Piece of Mind', Linkwood released his first LP ‘System’ for Prime Numbers in September 2009 - an album which has taken him around the world.
As a teenager growing up in Bristol in the late 80’s/early 90’s, Linkwood became fascinated with house and techno.
Moodymann is the moniker under which Kenny Dixon Jr produces and DJs. He is a techno/house musician based in Detroit. He has created a thoroughly hybrid form of techno/house dance music via his innovative use of reworked riffs, samples and grooves taken from that city's historically influential jazz, soul, funk and disco scene. Some call it cut-up Detroit house. He offers a friendly wink backwards at the innovative early 1990s rave scene musicians through his extensive use of old movie sound track samples, mainly culled from the old blaxploitation and b-movie genres.
First wave Detroit techno artist famous for early minimal sound combining elements of detroit with a stripped down and jacky sound more popular in Chicago at that time. Incredible crossover appeal on party tracks and stripped down minimal bleep techno, with crisp grainy claps that have made his sound and use of the RZ-1 drumbox unmistakable. Founder of Accelerate records, Seventh City Records, Seventh City distribution (and retail store on Gratiot Ave at one point), early collaborator with Richie Hawtin's Plus 8 records.
Alex "Omar" Smith is a Detroit House & Techno producer. Similar to Theo Parrish, Moodymann, et al. One of the few real underground House producers at the moment. He runs the FXHE label and releases his own music as well as some collaborations through limited pressings. For more info visit: http://www.omarsdetroit.us/index.html
