Greenland Whalefishers

Greenland Whalefishers started out in Bergen Norway in 1994, long before anyone had heard of bands like Flogging Molly or Dropkick Murphys. Combining british punk with celtic folk influences, the band soon became one of the most interesting post-pogues bands . Serena Maneesh (sometimes spelled Serena-Maneesh or shortened to S-M) is an alternative rockband based in Oslo, Norway. The network of musicians who each contribute to its unique sound is organized around its main protagonist and songwriter Emil Nikolaisen. Emil has previously appeared as a guitarist and songwriter in the indieband Royal, played the drums in Norwegian punk rock band Silver as well as in the retro-pop orchestra The Loch Ness Mouse. He even has a past as guitarist in the metal band Extol.

It was chance that brought the Youth Pictures of Florence Henderson together. It was having nothing better to do that made them make music. Meeting while attending studies in northern Norway in the fall of 2003, the idea of forming a band quickly emerged. School days were short; the sultry city too far away, and there wasn’t all that much else to do. Drummer Morfar, being the most experienced, was the most eager. Toby and Jerry both had guitars. Audi bought a bass.

Sondre Lerche Sondre Lerche, an award-winning singer-songwriter, newly minted Hollywood go-to man, and frequent sighting on critics' year-end "best albums" lists, is back with his fifth studio album, Heartbeat Radio. There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Lowdown is a post-thrash/metalcore band from Norway. The band was founded during the winter of 2000, and played live for the first time in 2001. They secured a record deal with Black Balloon Records after their second live show, and released their debut album (named "Unknown") in 2003.
