Born in Hucknall, Notts., 27th August 1886, Eric Coates belonged to a musical family. He studied at the Royal Academy before playing viola under Sir Henry Wood's baton in the Queen's Hall Orchestra. Chronic pain forced him to give up viola, and he concentrated on his considerable powers as a composer. Much of his music is still well-known, such as the theme of ''Dambusers"The Dam Busters March ; the signature tune to Radio Four's 'Desert Island Discs' By the Sleepy Lagoon and the BBC's "Music While You Work" signature tune(1940-1967)Calling All Workers .
Sounds Like Sunset's music is a mix of simple songs taken on sort of a wild ride - freely moving in directions led by huge guitars and feedback, and drawing on influences such as BailterSpace, The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine and the gloomier side of The Beach Boys in equal measure. The band formed in Sydney, Australia in 1997 with David Challinor (vocals, guitar), David Hobson (bass) and Rohan Geddes (drums).
There are more than one artists named "Karnak" --1
Karnak is a Brazilian band, from Sao Paulo leaded by André Abujamra. It is known for mixing diverse music styles, not only Brazilian but from the whole world, with pop and rock. Many critics consider Karnak's music style being world music, label that they refuse, claiming that their "ethnic" sound results from their intuition, not from researches. --2
