Thirsty Merc is an Australian rock band formed in 2002 in Sydney, Australia. The band consists of Rai Thistlethwayte (vocals/guitar/keyboards), Phil Stack (bass guitar), Karl Robertson (drums), and Matt Smith (guitarist). The Cruel Sea
The Cruel Sea is a multi-ARIA Award winning 90s Australian rock/blues outfit. Originally an instrumental band focused on surf sounds, the addition of vocalist Tex Perkins (also a member of The Beasts Of Bourbon and a solo artist) proved an inspired decision. Combining the charismatic Perkins with the highly talented musicians created an unstoppable force through much of the 90s. Members of the band continue to perform, though with the exception of Perkins, most activity is fairly low key.

The Superjesus
Lead singer and main song-writer Sarah McLeod formed the band in late 1994 with guitarist (and her guitar teacher at the time) Chris Tennent, drummer Paul Berryman and bass player Stuart Rudd. They were originally called Hell's Kitchen before changing their name to The Superjesus on the eve of the 1994 Big Day Out in Adelaide. Says Paul Berryman of the name: "It was basically just a piss-take on commonly used words in the 90's.

The Whitlams
The Whitlams are an Australian four-piece band hailing from Newtown, New South Wales. Formed in 1992, the band originally comprised Tim Freedman (lead vocals, piano), Stevie Plunder (lead vocals, guitar) and Andy Lewis (double bass, backing vocals). The line-up has changed many times over the years with Tim the only consistent member of the band, not to mention the only original member still alive. In the current line-up Terepai Richmond hits the drums, Warwick Hornsby plays the bass, and Jak Housden steals the scene on the electric guitar alongside the ever-present Tim Freedman.

78 Saab
Reminiscent of Matthew Sweet in his prime, 78 Saab's lead singer, Ben Nash, has an impressively strong, sweet and clear singing voice. Combining Nash's distinctive voice with solid musicianship, intelligent lyrics and the ability to deliver as a live band make 78 Saab a classic Australian rock and rock band. There is a number of artists known as "George" ...the 3 most notable are: 1) An Australian group, with sibling members, Katie Noonan & Tyrone Noonan - both classically-trained musician / vocalists. They have released two albums, the first of which was the multi-platinum, ARIA-award-winning album, Polyserena, and eight EPs / singles. 2) A Manchester, UK duo of Suzy Mangion & Michael Varty. Both of them play the instruments no one else wants - old keyboards and organs, Christmas presents from the Eighties, from charity shops, corners at parties.
