Freedy Johnston (born 1961) is a New York City-based singer-songwriter originally from Kinsley, Kansas. Johnston's first album, "The Trouble Tree" was released in 1990, and features the guitar playing of the roots musician and author, David Hamburger. Johnston sold some of his family's farmland to finance the recording of his second album, Can You Fly (an event he wrote about in a song on that album, "Trying to Tell You I Don't Know").

www.thenightishere.com the night was a solo project, focussed on incorporating and recording guest musicians. An EP was released in 2008 via iTunes and some sales and fans were recruited. A band finally formed in mid 2011, The members of the band brought their own influences and experience, and made the music evolve into what it is today. They recorded their first album independently in December 2011 at Jungle Studios.

Includes touches of everything from Floydian psychedelia to blues to Beatles-esque pop; inspired by The Who, Bob Dylan, The Byrds, and Pink Floyd. The band consists of Joziah Longo (lead vocals, guitars, harmonica); his wife, Tink Lloyd (accordion, cello, flute, theremin); Sharkey McEwen (guitars, mandolin, backing vocals); and Tony Zuzulo (drums). Increasingly they are accompianied at live shows by Josiah and Tink's sons Chen (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Orien (percussion, backing vocals, keyboards).

With influences ranging from Dylan and CCR, to Suicide and Silver Apples, Adam Granduciel joins a distinct set of songwriters with his own brand of timeless musicianship. Ushering in a new golden era of polished, yet subcultural exploration, Adam's voice and music have that unmistakable singularity that comes along only so often. This is not the canon rehashed, rather it is realized with a spirit of invention. This earnest playfulness is at the forefront of the listening experience.
