Stand

There is more than one artist with this name: 1. Stand are four lads from Dublin, Ireland who got a taste of the United States on a trip in to play Austin’s SXSW Festival. Awed at the prospect of limitless venues, they made the move and headquartered themselves out of New York in 2002. Having come to the attention of a NACA booking agent, they built a solid following in the Northeast, being voted Best Band on that NACA college circuit in both 2005 and 2006.

Terry Springford

Terry Springford is a folk-pop singer-songwriter from Melbourne, Australia. In 2010, after a long hiatus from music, Terry returned to his home studio in the mountain forests outside Melbourne to record his Pretty Girls album, released in October. The album represents a departure in style for Terry as he adds a variety of electronic sounds to augment his strong songwriting and folk-pop roots. The album is available at iTunes. He's now working on a new album, "Fusion", and playing live in Melbourne. "Summer Dress" is his new single, released in April 2012.

Gin Wigmore

Virginia "Gin" Wigmore is a New Zealand singer/songwriter who was born in Auckland, New Zealand, where she spent most of her childhood. However, while in Argentina at age 16 her father died of cancer. Upon her return to New Zealand, she articulated in song, the pain of losing her father. One of those early penned songs, “Hallelujah”, won the US-based International Songwriting Competition in 2004[2], when she beat 11,000 songwriting aspirants from 77 countries to become the youngest and only unsigned Grand Prize winner in the history of the ISC.

Steeleye Span

Steeleye Span formed in 1969 from members of Fairport Convention and out of the ashes of Sweeney's Men creating a distinctive fusion of both British folk with electric rock music. The resulting first version of the band was formed by ex-Fairport bassist Ashley Hutchings and built around two pairs of vocalists, one English, one Irish, Tim Hart and Maddy Prior and Terry and Gay Woods. Rhythm was to be supplied largely by Hutchings' bass, and without drums.

Stephanie Sayers

Stephanie Sayers is a singer songwriter who was born in upstate New York. She has lived in Massachusetts, New Orleans and Los Angeles. In 1995 Stephanie released 'Christmas Island', an EP that brought her to the attention of Lenny Waronker, then in the process of starting up Dreamworks Records, where she joined his stable of emerging talent, including Elliott Smith, Rufus Wainwright and Eels. In 2000, Stephanie toured with Sparklehorse on the West Coast. In 2001 she appeared on the Galaxie 500 tribute album "Snowstorm" (Elefant Records, Spain) to which she contributed the track "Spook".

Tickled Pink

Tickled Pink are: Simon Care; Gerald Claridge; Guy Fletcher; Roy Kay; Trevor Landen; Mark Hutchinson and Mark Jolley. They formed in 1989 as the 'perfect antidote' to the traditional country-bands at the time. The band proceeded to play many festivals around the UK including Fairport's Cropredy Convention, Glastonbury and Cambridge. Primarily an English Ceilidh Band, their style combines traditional English music with rave, reggae, blues, country, rap, and much more!

Rainman

There are at least two artists with the name Rainman: 1. Rainman is the name of a soloproject by Frank Nuyens, a former member of the Dutch group Q' 65. He recorded the album 'Rainman' in 1971, a collection of songs influenced by British folkrock and songwriters from the American Westcoast. 2. For years, Rainman has been building serious skills on mic and decks alike, cementing his presence within the Brisbane and Sydney hip-hop scenes.
