Hoodoo Scoundrels

After kicking off with their debut EP, this young London four-piece rapidly found themselves as 'Single of the Week' on BBC Radio 2 The band also spent the close of 2008 joining Cage The Elephant on part of their UK tour, taking their show all round the country. Now you can hear their new material, songs such as Arrogance Blues and All On My Own, showing the bands huge musical and songwriting talents.

..Rugosa Nevada.. are a Derby based four piece, who formed in the spring of 2008. Their blend of influences have ensured the band a fresh sound that is hard to come by and even harder to forget. The band recorded a two track Demo at Dub:Rek studio in August 2008, (which has been requested by fans as far as the USA), before breaking onto the gigging scene in December 2008. Since their live debut late last year, Rugosa Nevada have played a huge number of gigs accross Britain.

Ha Ha Tonka

With a "Bible in one hand, broken bottle in the other" (Spin June '09) Ha Ha Tonka return with their sophomore effort on Bloodshot Records, Novel Sounds of the Nouveau South. The album takes listeners on a complex tour of the South—through lynchings and mob violence, sacrifice and reconciliation. It’s dense subject matter for any artist, but delivered beautifully on this record by these native sons of the Ozarks from Springfield, Missouri.

Powered by a steady musical diet of old time country legends and modern day guitar bands, Ben Blakeney is the skilful master and commander of Perth ex-pats Jack On Fire. The core of the band have a rich history, with Blakeney, Samantha Wass (acoustic guitar/keys/accordian) and Dave Thikerttle-Watts (bass) having played together in eight piece West coast dreamy popsters, Institut Polaire. Jack On Fire is completed by Wass' old friend George Hyde, a fellow country music aficionado, and superb guitarist.
