Brooklyn Rider

The multi-faceted string quartet Brooklyn Rider is becoming increasingly known for its creative programming and exciting collaborations which serve to illuminate music in new ways and invite audiences into a shared experience. Uniquely able to address a wide and inclusive range of music, they are as willing to explore the world of Haydn as they are in the music of our time and have performed in venues as varied as Joe's Pub in NYC, Todai-ji Temple in Nara Japan and the Petronas Towers in Malaysia.

Pierre Bastien

Pierre Bastien (born 1953 in Paris) is a French musician, composer, and instrument builder. He began building mechanical-based musical instruments at an early age, using items such as metronomes, cymbals, and pulleys. In 1977 he began collaborating with Pascal Comelade and composing music for dance companies. He performed in ensembles such as Operation Rhino, Nu Creative Methods, and Effectifs de Profil.

Corleone

There are at least two artists named "Corleone": 1) Combining post-rock ideals with unique vocals and dark, brooding lyrics, Corleone are a four-piece band from Sheffield, UK.
The band self-released two EPs; Crude Black Millions, recorded in May 2005 and TV! Sing Me To Sleep, recorded in March 2006. A second run of TV! Sing Me To Sleep has since been released through Corps Morts.
Though some characteristic post-rock sounds are present in many of their songs, this does not define the music, which is enhanced with unique vocals.

Comets On Fire

Comets on Fire are a band from Santa Cruz, California. The band was formed in 1999 by guitarist and vocalist Ethan Miller and longtime friend bassist Ben Flashman, who were seeking to create rhythmically and sonically intense music that paid no attention to categorizations. The band's self-titled debut was released in 2001 and eventually issued on the Alternative Tentacles label. Recorded on a four-track, it was a garage/psych freakout of intense if not epic proportions.

Arto Lindsay

Arto Lindsay (born May 28, 1953, Richmond, Virginia) is an American , , record and . He's probably best known as a founding member of the influential band DNA, though his work after DNA has been quite prolific. He has a distinctive soft voice and an often noisy, self-taught guitar style comprised almost entirely of extended techniques, described by Brian Olewnick "studiedly naïve ... sounding like the bastard child of Derek Bailey"; his guitar work is contrasted frequently with gentler, sensuous Brazilian music themes.

1) Based in Athens, Greece, AZA attempts to tweak ordinary sounds & sights to match his ordinary everyday experience. 2) There is another band called Aza, playing Tamazight (Berber) influenced music out of Santa Cruz, USA.
