The Avengers

There are three bands and one radio show sharing the name The Avengers: 1) The Avengers were formed in San Francisco, in the first wave of American Punk. Penelope Houston was the lead singer, primary songwriter, and her persona was a large part of the draw for the act. The other band members were James Wilsey (bass), D. Furious (drums), and Greg Ingraham (guitar). Critic Greil Marcus once said The Avengers were, “…San Francisco’s best punk band - in their moments, they were, you knew, better than any other band playing that night anywhere in the world.”

1) Militia is a Belgian industrial percussion band. It was founded in 1989 by the multi-instrumentalist Frank Gorissen and wind instrument player Jo Billen and now 6 musicians are involved. The band is known for its use of self made percussion and wind instruments and the scrap material they transform into musical instruments. The band's music is often inspired by the anarchic and atheist social views and their concirn about our natural environment, themes that can be found in most of their lyrics and statements.

There are four bands with this name: (1) Unison is a French witch house duo started in 2008 and released their first eponymous full-length album "Unison" on the 10th April 2012 through Lentonia Records.
they also have one EP titled "Outside" and some remix EP's also available.
They've remixed like-minded artists such as White Ring and have collaborated with Ritualz on his CDR release. (2) Unison is a Florida rock band, formed in 1994.

Cuushe

Cuushe, who is greatly inspired by music like Board of Canada, L’altra, started out her musical career as a member in a collage pop band, and eventually ventured into solo-project works in 2003. Using her mesmerizing airy vocals as the main instrument, Cuushe composes pop-infused electronic music that is lovable and yet uniquely different from any other song-based pop sounds out there. The Bad Things

Bubbling forth like a mossy belch of polka filth from the greasy, jet fuel-contaminated wetlands of the Northwest, comes The Bad Things. With junkyard waltzes and shameless shanties, The Bad Things are hellbent on providing traditional music for the post-apocalyptic era. "Combining elements of Gypsy, folk, Klezmer, Hillbilly ballads, mariachi crooners, and a Vaudeville theatrical aesthetic, the group has a reputation for drunken debauchery and feverish dancing at their live shows.....The group lends their old-fashioned style with a post-modern sense of black humor."

Master Margherita

Master Margherita is a musician based in Switzerland. Since 1988, he has been very active in the european music scene where his first steps were as a bass player in various Rock'n'Roll bands. But in 1994 he started composing tracks which mixed and matched live instruments with all sorts of electronic " devices ". This experimentation saw a change of musical direction for him into the world of " ambient " soundscapes. Since then his talent has been appreciated in many styles, from french text songs, to experimental techno, via ethnic grooves and reggae.

2) A Swedish retro-synthpop duo.
3) A UK drum and bass producer (aka MC System).
4) A German punk band from the early 80s. 1) A Copenhagen, Denmark producer trio, of Thomas Knak (aka Opiate, producer of two tracks on Björk's "Vespertine"), Anders Remmer (aka Dub Tractor) and Jesper Skaaning (aka Acustic). Since 1995, they have been releasing, increasingly pop-oriented, albums as Future 3. They have a common love for dub and their music is usually heavy with: reverb, echo and bass.

Pseudo Echo

Pseudo Echo were an Australian new wave band. Formed in the early eighties by school friends Brian Canham (vocals, guitars, and keyboards) and Pierre Gigliotti (bass and keyboards), the band completed its lineup with Anthony Agiro (drums) and Tony Lugton (guitars and keyboards). Their first album Autumnal Park was an Ultravox-influenced album that yielded the Australian singles "Listening" (produced by Peter Dawkins) , "Stranger in Me", "Dancing Till Midnight", and "Beat for You". It was a mature album that gave little indication of their youth.

Seattle Washington's Seapony, comprised of Jen Weidl (Vocals, Guitar), Danny Rowland (guitar) & Ian Brewer (Bass). Their first release was the 3-song single Dreaming followed by their debut album, Go With Me (released by Hardly Art) which puts Jen Weidl's youthful melancholia and yearning on display and wraps it in a blanket of twee/surf/jangle pop.
