Magnus Öström

Magnus Öström was born on May 3rd, 1965 in Skultuna, Sweden as second son to local painter Arne and Siv Öström. His brother Tommy was three years older and influenced Magnus in his early years with his eclectic record collection including Jimmy Hendrix, Deep Purple, Almond Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd. At the age of eight Magnus built his first drumkit out of his fathers empty paintcans and only a year later he started his first band together with a kid from across the street, Esbjörn Svensson.

Burkhard Beins

Burkhard Beins is a Berlin-based percussionist primarily active in electro-acoustic improvisation (EAI). He has a long-standing duo group with tabletop guitarist Keith Rowe (previously of AMM), and is a member of Polwechsel (with Werner Dafeldecker, Michael Moser, John Butcher and Martin Brandlmayr), The Sealed Knot (with Rhodri Davies and Mark Wastell, Perlonex (with Ignaz Schick and Jörg Maria Zeger), Trio Sowari (with Phil Durrant and Bertrand Denzler), activity center (with Michael Renkel) and Phosphor (with a whole bunch of people).

Avner Dorman

Israeli-American composer Avner Dorman has quickly risen to become one of Israel’s most successful and renowned composers. At the age of 25, he became the youngest composer to win Israel’s prestigious Prime Minister’s Award. In 2001, Dorman received the ACUM prize from the Israeli performing rights society for his Ellef Symphony. Ma’ariv, the second largest newspaper in Israel, named Dorman “Composer of the Year” for 2002, and the performance of his song cycle Boaz received the Israeli Cultural Ministry Prize for best performance of Israeli music the same year.

Blue devils

The Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps is a Division I drum and bugle corps based in Concord, California and founded in 1970, and is a member corps of Drum Corps International. The Blue Devils (sometimes just "the Devils", "Devs" or "BD") are the most successful corps of the DCI era, with a total of thirteen world champion titles to their name over the four decades of DCI's existence. At their first DCI finals appearance in 1973, the Blue Devils placed twenty fourth, advancing the next year to ninth and then to third in 1975.

Robert "Bobby" Previte (born July 16, 1959, Niagara Falls, New York) is a jazz drummer, composer and bandleader. Previte earned a B.A. in music at the University at Buffalo, where he also studied percussion. He moved to New York City in 1979, and became active in the city's thriving jazz and experimental music scenes. He began professional relationships with John Zorn, Elliott Sharp and others that have continued, intermittently, to the present.
