A Split Second

A Split Second is a Belgian electronic and industrial band.
A Split Second is simply too good to be ignored, and from their conception in 1985 it didn't take the world long to acknowledge the importance of Marc ICKX's and Chrismar CHAYELL's unique musical vision. Official website A Split Second's first American release, the 1987 EP A Split Second, collected highlights from their early European releases, which included Ballistic Statues (which featured the tense masterpiece "Close Combat"), Smell of Buddah as well as their innovative EBM classic, "Flesh".

Telex

There are three bands with the name Telex: 1. The Belgian synthpop group Telex was formed in 1978 by Marc Moulin, Dan Lacksman and Michel Moers, with the intention of "Making something really European, different from rock, without guitar - and the idea was electronic music." (Marc Moulin) Mixing the aesthetics of disco, punk and experimental electronic music, they released a stripped-down synthesized cover version of "Twist à St. Tropez" by Les Chats Sauvages.

The Knife

The Knife is an electronic duo from Stockholm, Sweden formed in 1999. The band consists of siblings Karin Dreijer Andersson (formerly of Honey is Cool, now Fever Ray) and Olof Dreijer - who also run their own record company, Rabid Records. The group rarely makes public appearances, most of their promotional photos feature the members wearing masks, and formerly refused to perform live concerts. However the group has showed themselves in public wearing masks formed as bird's beaks, similar to those used by medieval doctors.

Nite Jewel is the performing moniker of Ramona Gonzalez. She is a composer, songwriter, and multimedia artist from Los Angeles, California, where she has exhibited a number of video and sound installation pieces. A recent sound installation entitled “The Question Concerning Technology” has been transcribed to traditional notation by Human Ear Music founder, Jason Grier. She has collaborated with Julia Holter and Cole M.G.N.

A Terrible Splendour

A Terrible Splendour is a musical project from MM Lyle and Martin Block. The sound is a fusion of electro, pop and cabaret, with lyrical and stylistic influences coming from early 80's New Romanticism and the Weimar Republic. The material here is from their six-song demo. The Russians/Slaves to the City double A-side was released on iTunes in 2010. Martin Rev

Martin Reverby is best known as a member of the seminal New York punk-era synth/vocal group Suicide. Under the name Martin Rev he has released albums that are usually classified as No Wave, but other work - under the names See Me Ridin, StrangeWorld, To Live - are very different in style and genre from the Martin Rev releases.
