There is more than one artist with this name. (1) Friends is a UK band (see below). (2) Friends is a Jpop singing group comprised of 6 seiyuu from the TV anime Kyo no Go no Ni (see below). (3) Friends is a Swedish pop group that represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2001. They split up in 2004 when two of the members started the group Nina & Kim. (1) Friends were formed in 1986 by singer/guitarist/songwriter William Jones, in Stockton-on-Tees, Cleveland, UK. Drummer and percussionist Martin Parker joined in 1992 and these two form the nucleus of the London-based band today.

Led by Lucksmiths lead mouth Tali White the Melbourne (Australia) based 6 piece line up is its most rockin' incarnation yet featuring lead-cellist/bassist Cressida Griffith, Sax Prodigy Gus Rigby, drummer about town Phil Collings, trumpet from Roger the tall man Clark and guitar magic from Basic Shapes Gerry Eeman. The favourite band you may not have known you had, the Guild League make music that you'll want to hug hard.

The Blow is Khaela Maricich, from Portland, Oregon. The band was a duo until Jona Bechtolt left to pursue his own project, Yacht, full time. The two had been working together as The Blow since 2004, when they recorded a limited edition EP called Poor Aim: Love Songs.
"Blow" is also the name of a Melbourne-based jazz group which Last.fm automatically scrobbles as "The Blow".

Ace Bushy Striptease are a relatively new band from Birmingham who have been together for less than a year. Their musical style is a big old mix of diverse good things. At various points they pick up on hardcore tempos and shouting and hitting the back of the bass, and at other points they sing lovely pop melodies. 'Mervyn and Issac find a CD' is a stand out song for me, where the short explosive choruses are sandwiched between little discussions of what to do with the CD.
