The Springfields

There are two artists named The Springfields. 1. The Springfields were a British pop-folk vocal trio in the early 1960s, who had success both in the UK, USA and Ireland, but are now best remembered as the launch pad for singer Dusty Springfield. The trio formed in 1960, when Mary "Dusty" O’Brien joined her brother Dion O'Brien and Tim Feild, who had been working as a duo,"The Kensington Squares". Dion became Tom Springfield, and Mary became Dusty Springfield. Feild was later replaced by Mike Hurst.

Minor Sounds

Minor Sounds is the work of a Croatian singer/songwriter Mirna Stanich based in Brighton. The songs on her first album called “Super Komputer” have been recorded with a friend producer Martin Zietek who made a great contribution to the record taking it a step further. Originally written and arranged as folk songs, throughout the recording stages the music changed into a sound that crosses many genres.

Azis (Азис) is a Bulgarian pop-folk singer. His real name is Vasil Troyanov Boyanov, and is of Romani descent from Sliven, Bulgaria. Azis has caused some controversy in Bulgaria for being openly gay, for defying gender stereotypes in public while performing and in private life, and for his campaigning on behalf of the downtrodden Roma (Gypsy) minority. As an entertainer he has recorded and performed many popular and traditional songs.

Sofia

There is more than one artist with the name of Sofia : 1) Sofia Berntson (born 1979 in Stockholm, Sweden), known professionally as Sofia is a Swedish singer who often sings in Greek. She has released three CD singles since 2007 and has taken part in the Swedish song selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest, Melodifestivalen, twice, in 2007 and more recently in 2009. In 2007, Sofia participated in Melodifestivalen with the song "Hypnotized".
