William Basinski

William Basinski (Houston, 1958), a New York-based classically-trained clarinetist and saxophonist, specializes in compositions for loops and drones. He began experimenting with compositions for piano and tape that created a melancholy ambience via looped and overdubbed melodies with Variations - A Movement in Chrome Primitive (1980), released on Variations - A Movement in Chrome Primitive (Durtro, 2002 - Die Stadt, 2004), and A Red Score in Tile (1979), released on A Red Score in Tile (3 Poplars, 2003).

Dntel

Dntel is the solo project of Jimmy Tamborello. Dntel is known for mixing glitch and cut-up electronic techniques with instruments like acoustic guitars, accordions, and symphonic instruments. Dntel is also the project that spawned The Postal Service. He started working as Dntel, pronounced Din-tell, in 1994. A collection of tracks created between 1995-1997 (Early Works For Me If It Works For You) was released on the Phthalo label in 1999, followed by the release of an EP recorded in 1994 (Something Always Goes Wrong) in 2000.

Arkane is the new name of the ambient/neoclassical musical project previously called xARKANEx by ArkanumX whose second album, Enraptured Serene Mesmerism, was released on 21-01-2008. http://www.myspace.com/xarkanex 2. London hip-hop group All hailing from the back of beyond (various Welsh valleys and Leicester backstreets), by fate 5 lads hooked up and formed the Hip-Hop group Arkane. After many hours locked in a darkened room, they came up with their debut album.
