Avey Tare

Avey Tare (born David Portner on April 24th, 1979) is a musician and founding member of Animal Collective. Avey Tare met Animal Collective's Deakin (Josh Dibb), Panda Bear (Noah Lennox), and Geologist (Brian Weitz) in high school. For years, the four of them swapped homemade recordings, shared musical ideas and performed in different group configurations. Avey Tare recorded the Spirit They’re Gone, Spirit They’ve Vanished album with Panda Bear, and initially released the recording on the band's own Animal label in 2000.

Linda Perhacs

Linda Perhacs is an American psychedelic folk singer-songwriter, who released her only album "Parallelograms" in 1970 to scant notice or sales. The album was rediscovered by record enthusiasts and grew in popularity with the rise of the New Weird America movement and the Internet. It was reissued on CD and 2-LP in 2005, and again in 2008. Native of Mill Valley, California, United States, Linda Perhacs spent many years away from the music industry (mostly spent as dental technician).

Agincourt

The British trio of Agincourt made one rare, privately pressed LP in 1970, Fly Away. It's nice second-tier British folk-rock, and though the adjective "haunting" is overused in description of this genre in general, songwriters Peter Howell and John Fernando really had that aspect down, with a greater pop savvy than most people working in the U.K. folk-rock field. Woman singer Lee Menelaus rounded out the trio, which smoothly integrated both male and female lead and background vocals.

The Soundcarriers

The Soundcarriers were formed in Nottingham, where founder members Adam, Pish and Dorian have played together since childhood, switching instruments and roles and generally ignoring the conventions of what it means to be a band. Leonore completes the bands line-up adding subtle, gentle vocals and harmonies. The debut album from this Nottingham-based band is psychedelic in the less well-trodden way: jazz-influenced, free-thinking and utterly spaced out.

Jacob's Pillow

Jacob's Pillow are a seven-piece Scottish folk-rock band. Since forming in Edinburgh in 2004, they have released a debut EP, Pathfinder, and are currently in the process of recording their first album. The music of Jacob's Pillow is a blend of many different styles, encompassing folk, rock, jazz, blues, psychedelia and Celtic fusion, and drawing on influences as diverse as The Incredible String Band, Led Zeppelin and King Crimson. Live performances often feature reworked and lengthened versions of songs, with extensive improvised sections.

There are at least seven artists which have used the name Spider: an indie folk singer from New York, United States, a metal band from England, a punk band from Hungary, a lo-fi band from Washington, United States, a ska/rock band from Malaysia, a power pop band from Wallasey, England, a rapper from Mexico. 1. Spider is an alias for Brooklyn indie-folk musician Jane Herships. Most of the songs on her release The Way to Bitter Lake are hushed, personal folk songs with elements of shoegazing reminescent of musicians such as Nick Drake and M. Ward.

Saddar Bazaar

Saddar Bazaar (translation: central market) is raga rock band based in Bristol, UK. Formed in 1990 by Shaun Hyder (sitar) and Rehan Matthew Hyder (guitar), they were soon joined by John Sage on drums and supported various bands in the local area such as The Seers, Praise Space Electric and the Bevis Frond. They also played at the well known Ashton Court Community Festival in Bristol.
By 1992 John had left the band and had been replaced by David Spencer, whilst Tainenska Royal came in on flute and keyboards.
