Maja Ratkje

Maja Solveig Kjelstrup Ratkje, composer and performer (born Dec. 29th 1973 in Trondheim, Norway), finished composition studies at the Norwegian State Academy of Music in Oslo in 2000. Her compositions have been performed by Oslo Sinfonietta, The Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Arve Tellefsen, Cikada and Vertavo string quartets, Quatuor Renoir, ticom, Crash Ensemble, Torben Snekkestad, Spunk, Frode Haltli and Poing among others.

AMM

AMM is a British free improvisation group, founded in London, England in 1965. AMM have never been well-known to the general public, but have been, in their own way, hugely influential on several generations of adventurous musicians. AMM has been called "legendary" and "groundbreaking." They are notable as the perhaps the first musical group to deliberately try to make music not related to any established musical genre: as Michael Nyman wrote, "AMM seem to have worked without the benefit or hindrance of any kind of prepared external discipline.

Greg Kelley

Greg Kelley has performed throughout the United States, Europe, Japan and Argentina at numerous festivals, in clubs, outdoors, in living rooms, in a bank, and at least once on a vibrating floor. He has collaborated with a number of musicians throughout the globe performing experimental music, free jazz and noise, releasing a number of recordings in the process - both solo, and as nmperign (with bhob rainey) and Heathen Shame (with Kate Village and Wayne Rogers). Grutronic are four musicians from diverse backgrounds working collaboratively in a unique electronic idiom. They combine electronic and acoustic sound to create unique textures and give them compositional direction. This process involves the creation of a complex, shifting soundscape. Grutronic employ a hands-on physicality to electronic instruments, understanding that input, control and exchange of human energy are what gives sound, form, soul and a human reason for being.

Alan Silva

Alan Silva (born Alan Treadwell da Silva, Bermuda, January 22, 1939) is an American free jazz double bassist and keyboard player. Born a British subject to an Azorean Portuguese woman (Irene da Silva) and a black Bermudian man known only as "Ruby" at the very height of segregation, Silva emigrated to the United States at the age of five with his mother, eventually acquiring U.S. citizenship by the age of 18 or 19. He adopted the professional name Alan Silva in his twenties.

Peter Evans has been a member of the New York City musical community since 2003, when he moved to the city after graduating from The Oberlin Conservatory of Music. She has played with a wide array of musicians, including Anthony Braxton, Wadada Leo Smith, Hans Grusel, Gino Robair, Birgit Uhler, Fabrizio Spera, George Cremaschi, Yugen Noh Theater, SFSound, and with members of Caroliner, Sun City Girls, and Rova Saxophone Quartet.

Sanhedrin was originally formed by Reece Holloway & Parmahn Azad, two like-minded individuals who wanted to explore their interests in Black & Death Metal. The group was formed in early 2009 in Huddersfield, England. Initially Reece (Vocals & Keyboards) & Parmahn (Guitar, Bass & Drums) shared musical ideas which became the three songs featured on the first Sanhedrin Demo. This early work was recorded in Parmahn’s flat using basic equipment and was simply used to showcase the early material.
