Fishboy

Fishboy is a four-piece eccentric indie pop band from Denton, TX that began as the bedroom solo project of front man Eric Michener. He was given the nickname on a middle-school field trip after a dare to pluck and swallow a fish at the Dallas World Aquarium. Six years and several shoe boxes full of cassette tapes later, Michener moved from the suburbs to the Texas rock-and-roll Mecca of Denton with a handful of low budget recordings released by the close-knit Austin music collective Business Deal Records.

After walking away from huge hype and a major label deal in 1999, disappearing completely, UK's Merz (Conrad Lambert to his mum) returned in 2005 with his 2nd album, the critically lauded, Loveheart (released by UK indie Gronland Records). Paleo

Eef Barzelay (born Ifar Barzelay in Tel Aviv, Israel, on May 12, 1970) is an Israeli-born American musician. Mostly known as the principal songwriter and singer of alt country band Clem Snide, Barzelay has been performing since 1991. Early on this included stints in a number of Boston-based bands, while later he has toured as a solo act, both as headliner and as international support. Barzelay was raised in Teaneck, New Jersey. He enjoys old-timey music but also has an out-of-left-field interest in the apocalyptic and the ways human folly and failure might influence it.

Jana Hunter is a songwriter and musician, and was born in Texas. She is now(2010) based in Baltimore. She has recently(2009) formed a new band named Lower Dens and toured the USA with Future Islands(2010). She is signed to Gnomonsong, a record label run by Devendra Banhart and Vetiver's Andy Cabic. There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Arizona was an indie rock band formed in Brooklyn, NY. The band is currently on indefinite hiatus.
