Merz
After walking away from huge hype and a major label deal in 1999, disappearing completely, UK's Merz (Conrad Lambert to his mum) returned in 2005 with his 2nd album, the critically lauded, Loveheart (released by UK indie Gronland Records). His third album, Moi et Mon Camion (released by Gronland in March 2008), produced the same kind of acclaim from all corners with its mixture of beautiful balladeering, heartfelt tunes, intricate production and a display of Merz

Down and Out
There is more than one band with the name Down and Out. Banda formada em meiados de 2003 e reestruturada em agosto de 2004, com alteração de integrantes, e uma nova visão e proposta de som. Down and Out tem forte influência do skate punk, californiano ao punk Hardcore clássico dos 80/90. Vinny Peculiar , famously christened the Tony Hancock of pop by UNCUT MAGAZINE, is the pseudonym of Alan Wilkes; a Manchester based performance poet and songwriter who’s bands have vicariously included members of the Smiths, the Fall and OASIS. He’s toured the theatres and concert halls of Europe opening for the likes of Arab Strap and The Divine Comedy and is a regular compere/performer on the Glastonbury Festival Acoustic Stage.

Pirate rockin' acoustic troubador! marbled, acoustic songwriter from the North Eastern parts of England. High slung guitar like a chip on the shoulder, throttling out the last breath of each couplet lyric like it might be the last. Punching all the loose notes into a tight melody and performing songs of style ranging from flawed folk to cordened in riot scenes. Sung and strung in stream of conscious tongues, deftly pick pocketed ideas others too lazily executed, then moulding each one into a jack in the box of ideas and originality.
