Torture Garden

There are two bands named Torture Garden. (1) Originating in Merseyside, United Kingdom, Torture Garden were formed in 2006 by lyricist and vocalist Adam Ford (born 21st July 1981) and his multi-instrumentalist brother Matt Ford (born 4th November 1985), taking their name from a novel by Octave Mirbeau. Torture Garden claim to be influenced by all variations of heavy metal, as well as dark, experimental artists from various other genres.

Mandragora Scream

Mandragora Scream's Project was born in 1997 from an idea by Morgan Lacroix, who realized in 1999 a demo CD "Promo Track 99" in the New Sin Studios in Italy.
During the summer of 2000, Mandragora Scream (Morgan Lacroix) finally became a group. Morgan Lacroix and Terry Horn started together their journey and between the years 2000 and 2001 they realized their first album "Fairy Tales From Hell's Caves" (released by Nuclear Blast).

It was 1988, punk rock and new wave reigned the scene, a group of enthusiastic, talented young people sensitive to beauty decided to try themselves out in writing music. Anja Orthodox - vocal, Przemek Guryn - keyboards, Jacek Skirucha - guitar, Tomek Grochowalski (Wolfgang) - bass and Grzegorz Tomczyk - drums. They were eager and keen, but totally inexperienced. The first period of their career was rehearsals, rehearsals and rehearsals… Their music was raw, but at the same time melancholic and sad.

1.) Dutch Death Metal band XENOMORPH was founded in 1992 emerging from the underground scene in The Netherlands. Their most steady line-up became: DeTombe (vocals), Coert Zwart (guitar), Kreft (guitar), JRA (bass) and Marc Bomber (drums). They most likely got their name from the "scientific" predicate given to the aliens starring in the Aliens movie series. Their lyrics are mostly about evil, Satan, and other dark and occult stuff more than once inspired by the work of artists like H.R. Giger and Sir Ridley Scott.

The band is formed of two experienced rock musicians from Milan and two old, good friends of Venice origin that moved to Milan to make music.

Their music can be described as dark, aggressive and emotional soundscapes fused with classical and rock elements. Consisting of grim male and dual female vocals, violins, keyboards, guitars and drums, Lycanthia continues the sound found in the early "golden age" works of classic gothic doom bands Theatre of Tragedy, Tristania, My Dying Bride, and The Sins of thy Beloved, while also adding more aggressive and traditional-doom influences.
