Yelle (a feminised acronym of YEL, "You enjoy life") is Julie Budet, a French singer from the town of Saint-Brieuc, France, who started performing in 2005. She rose to fame on MySpace when she posted a song titled "Short Dick Cuizi", dissing Cuizinier, a member of the Parisian hip-hop group TTC. With producer and close friend GrandMarnier, Yelle has recorded a debut album Pop-Up, after her hit single "Je Veux Te Voir" (a finalised version of "Short Dick Cuizi"). The song, which samples the bassline from 20 Fingers' 1994 club hit Short Dick Man, received heavy airplay on MTV.
A Hamilton, Ontario-based electronic pop group, Junior Boys began as a duo with its duties split between Jeremy Greenspan and Johnny Dark. Influenced by a number of music sectors — including arty synth pop, minimal techno, U.K. garage, and contemporary hip-hop — they made a demo with no positive results. Dark opted to leave the group, but former Warp employee Nick Kilroy eventually heard the songs and became interested enough to begin his KIN label with Junior Boys as its first artist. Engineer Matt Didemus joined Greenspan, and together they recorded enough material for a full-length.
In the summer of 2005 Neil Fridd got caught in a deadly lightning storm. Looking up to the heavens, Neil pleaded with St. Anna for his life. If she were to spare him, he promised, he would make the best band ever. Three years later, Neil is a) alive and b) the best band ever. The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt is a never ending romp of a dance party; looped pianos and saxes race on top of crappy synths and ill beats, and like twenty vocal takes (like seriously rivaling broken social scene status) are mixed in there somewhere.
I'm not a Band is indeed not really a band as such, it's rather an explosive band of tunes, sounds and catchy melodies composed, produced and played by classical musician Stephan J. Brought up by professional musicians in the north of Germany, Stephan soon wanted to make music himself – and he started playing the violin, later drums, guitar and the piano. From 2005-2006 he lived in London and was fascinated and inspired by London's music culture. It was just at the beginning of 2008 that he started 'playing laptop' as an outlet for his musical verve.
Monarchy produces Golden Filter-like dreamwave. Monarchy have chosen to not make more known about the group.
The idea is to just let the music itself speak for the group. Let's see how long they can keep this up on the internets :)

There are 2 bands with this name: Powerpop group from New Jersey. Released their debut "By The Bedside" EP in late 2006. The sound of the EP is similar in many ways to Hellogoodbye. After signing to Universal Republic Records in 2008, the group changed their name to Cash Cash. The Consequence are a hardcore band from Perth, Australia. There are 2 things you should know: They used to be called Hitman and Chicko doesn't like them.
