The (World Famous) Beat Junkies is an American crew made up of eight hip hop DJs. The group comprises J Rocc, DJ Rhettmatic, DJ Babu (of the group Dilated Peoples), DJ Melo-D, "DJ What?!", Mr. Choc, Icy Ice, and Shortkut. They were established in 1992 in Orange County, California by J Rocc.
Maschine are a young English progressive rock band formed by Luke Machin at Brighton Institute of Modern Music in 2008 and are signed to the German progressive rock label Inside Out. Machin (who's surname the band is a version of) has worked and shared stages with, Francis Dunnery, Robert Plant, Bernie Marsden and Jeff Beck; plus he and bassist Daniel Mashal are both former members of The Tangent. Getafixx is Justin King, of West London, but originally coming from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Getafixx mixes a range of beautiful and blissful electronica, idm and ambient tracks with a sprinkling of voice/film/foly samples that add to the emotional roller-coaster of the aural mix. Taking inspiration from the Future Sound of London's radio broadcasts, as well as from the philosophy of sample anything if it sounds right, Getafixx creates music mixes that are far more than just mixes, but they have to be listened to not just heard, they provoke thought as well as sooth the soul.
Afternaut is the latest project from the Liverpool based musician, Adam Rowley. For the past decade Adam has been involved with various music projects, initially starting off playing guitar in bands. But it wasn’t until 2004, while studying Film and TV at university, where he was introduced to sound manipulation using computers with effects and synthesis. This interest led to working on sound for film projects at university. Not only recording sound but also creating soundtracks. Since 2006, Adam has also been a sound designer/audio producer for the games industry.
Prince Paul (born Paul Huston) is a legendary DJ and hip hop producer. Prince Paul is known for having a very unorthodox, but mostly well-received sense of humor. Musically, he was one of the driving forces of what was to become known as alternative rap, by using surprising samples and quirky humour. Originally a member of Stetsasonic, he produced De La Soul's 1989 debut album 3 Feet High and Rising (It was on this album that Prince Paul invented the hip hop skit which has a long-standing and pervasive tradition on Hip hop albums to this day).
'When I Hear The Word Culture, I Reach For My Revolver' Built around indie record producer/multi instrumentalist Philip Thomas, Copyright Terrorists recorded, produced, sampled and remixed their way through the 90's, credits including Beastie Boys, Cypress Hill, Apollo 440, PWEI & BS2000 as well as releasing their own 'Culture' ep in 1995, the debut album 'We Love NY' following in 1996 and 1997's 'You' maxi single all to critical acclaim.
The Alchemist and Oh No, respected and accomplished MCs and producers in their own right, weren’t acquainted until they met at a show headlined by Dilated Peoples member and mutual friend, Evidence. Inspired, Al contacted Oh No and proposed a collaborative project. From that point they “just clicked”, says Oh No. “I sent him a verse and a beat, and he sent a beat and a verse.” The creative sparring continued, and they began to refer to the work as Gangrene.

Now residing in Sydney, Luke Dubs and Elgusto grew up in the Blue Mountains where they took up musical instruments at a young age. They’ve played together with Elgusto’s sister Aja in a funk/jazz group called Funk Injection since their early teens. Elgusto has DJ'd and played percussion with Paulmac and The Dissociatives...
