Copacabana Club is an indie dance-rock band from Curitiba, Brazil, started by three guys (Rafa, Tile, and Alec) and two chicks (Caca and Claudia) in 2007. The Brisbane-born Shane Nicholson is an accomplished singer-songwriter with four critically acclaimed albums under his name - "It's A Movie", "Faith & Science'", "Familiar Ghosts" and "Bad Machines" - and a best-selling duet album, "Rattlin' Bones", with wife Kasey Chambers under the name Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson. He also released 2 EPs and an album with his former band Pretty Violet Stain, who broke up in 2001.
Crashing in on a wave of psychedelia, The Fast Camels proudly wave their freak flag high. This album is unashamedly steeped in sixties acid music, mainly of the American variety but with a healthy dose of British freakbeat thrown in for good measure. This type of revival has of course been attempted several times before with varying degrees of success (or lack of). For every Robyn Hitchcock there are several Doctor and the Medics. So it’s with a sigh of relief that one can report that The Camels pass the acid test with only a few could do better comments.

Michael Rother (born 2 September 1950 in Hamburg) is a German experimental Krautrock musician and composer. Rother is a multi-instrumentalist (primarily guitar and keyboards) who, along with a catalog of several solo albums starting in 1977, is most known for having co-founded the German group Neu! with drummer Klaus Dinger (five albums between 1971 and 1996), and his collaborative efforts with Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius (aka Cluster) under the name Harmonia (two albums, one in 1974 and 1975, with later 1976 sessions recorded with Brian Eno released two decades later.
