The Dresden Dolls

The Dresden Dolls are an American musical duo from Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Formed in 2001, the group consists of Amanda Palmer (vocals, piano, ukulele, toy piano, harmonica) and Brian Viglione (drums, percussion, guitar, vocals). They describe their heavily art-damaged and theatrical style as "Brechtian ", a phrase invented by Palmer because she was "terrified" that the press would invent a name that "would involve the word ''," and are part of an underground movement that started gaining momentum in the early 1990s.

Grace Cathedral Park

Grace Cathedral Park keeps you floating in dreamland on a Sunday morning. Their songs are epic no matter what the length is, and in some cases the song can actually last for 20 minutes. In a sense, they are a pop orchestra. They have similarity to a regular orchestra, such as no lyrics, ups and downs of a symphony, and music that sounds like it was meant for a serious romantic film. But they also carry a lot of pop music characteristics.

Georgia Fair

Jordan and Ben first became mates when their mutual passion, in exploring and writing new music, yearned to be shared. When not playing and writing, they were raiding their father’s album collections for inspiration and direction. With the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Crowded House and Simon and Garfunkel they were in good stead for the future. Also drawing from contemporary artists such as Fleet Foxes, Angus Stone & Bon Iver they have developed a great, fresh sound.
