The Pineapple Thief

The Pineapple Thief, a progressive indie rock band from Somerset, United Kingdom, began as the musical vision of Bruce Soord. Soord started the band as an outlet for his music back in 1999. Bruce released the debut Abducting The Unicorn on Cyclops records - this created enough interest to convince Bruce that perhaps The Pineapple Thief was here to stay, quickly establishing a small but fanatical fan base. Bolstered by critical plaudits and support from fans, Bruce returned to the Dining Room studios to work on the second, and to many, the breakthrough Pineapple Thief album 137.

The Flaws are a four-piece from Co Monaghan, Ireland. The band released their debut self financed EP in summer 2005, a total of 300 copies only. The 4 track EP won a host of admirers with instantly hummable tunes like '16', & 'Idolise' alongside 'Everybody's Got to be Somewhere' and 'Fed to the Lions' which show the great scope of the bands sound. National airplay quickly followed on Today FM with presenter Alison Curtis describing the lead track '16' as "brilliant, one of the best Irish tracks of 2005".

Hipslinky

Heralding from Guildford, Hipslinky have been developing their 'slightly off the beaten track' music for several years, scoring support slots with Feeder, Cooper Temple Clause, Vex Red, Athlete, Ocean Colour Scene, and with airplay on XFM, Scuzz TV, The Amp, Chart Show . Think Jeff Buckley vocals crossed with The Who/The Marz Volta/U2, add occasional slide guitar and weird noises and you get that perfect Hip Slinky track. With a critically acclaimed debut album and Top 40 singles already under their belt, the band are now recording their second album, due out late 2006.

Coro Nostro

Coro Nostro is a mixed chamber choir of about 30 singers of all ages drawn from across the Universities, the City and County of Leicester, UK and beyond. We have a wide repertoire of sacred and secular polyphonic motets, madrigals and part-songs, ranging from the 13th to the 21st Century, including three new pieces especially written for us in 2004 and 2005 by Anthony Pither. We receive much praise from the public for the quality of our musicianship, the variety of our repertoire and the clarity and authenticity of our diction and expression.

(For the Japanese jazz-punk fusion band formed in Osaka, see ミドリ.) There is more than one artist under this name: 1. Midori Goto (五嶋みどり, Gotou Midori, born on October 25, 1971 in Osaka, Japan) is a Japanese violinist.
She is known in music circles as one of the most brilliant and exciting violinists of our time.
Usually referred to simply as Midori (she dropped the surname in response to the dissolution of her parents' marriage), she was first taught the violin by her mother, Setsu Goto, who discovered her daughter's innate musicality at the age of two...

Crane

There are at least six artists called Crane: 1. A Canadian melodic punk/hardcore band who formed in 1999 and released their debut full-length, The Fall of Time, on Freedumb Records in 2004. The album also gained a UK release in 2006 courtesy of Hangmans Joke.
2. A band from Ashington, England who plied a brand of shoe-gazerish/fugazi-like indie rock in the early 1990s. Their Big Sea 12" can be downloaded from the wonderful X-Ray Barbecue archive:
