Beers

Beers was originally intended as a solo album venture of Mikey Chuck Rivers under the name "Older Kiss". While divulging the idea to Weebs Jr. and Cactus Keith, they realized there was no reason to continue as a bathroom-bound acoustic one-off and promptly scrapped "Older Kiss" in favour of the full-band Beers. Beers are currently writing and preparing for their first as-yet-untitled release. Already blazing several live shows, 2010 will see Beers destroying some parts of somewhere if they can get their hands on it. Watch out.

The Beat Poets

Formed in 1986 in Glasgow, The Beat Poets released their first records on the legendary Scottish independent label 53rd & 3rd. Those records led to appearing on the BBC TV show FSD - also on the series were Del Amitri, Primal Scream, and the Primevals. For more than 20 years they have marched along the shining path of instrumental rock & roll, gigging with Dick Dale, when their guru finally came to Scotland, working as Alex Chilton's band, when the Dion of the Memphis Mafia came to Glasgow looking for a band who knew Billy Boy Arnold and Otis Redding, and making every gig a party.

Farm

Farm is a band in which three two-handed men write songs and play them. These six hands belong to Joshua Givens, Ben Maddox, and Jedd Kettler. They're music ranges from quiet, dark folk, and catchy indie pop to full-frontal rock. They switch instruments and singing duties. Along with guitar, keys, bass, and drums, farm's music also uses instruments that are less common to standard rock and folk: trumpet, morin huur (mongolian horse head fiddle), allen wrenches, water bottles, slabs of metal, lighters, and various other found sounds.

Bonnie Raitt

Bonnie Raitt, (born November 8, 1949) is an American blues and R&B singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born in Burbank, California, the daughter of Broadway musical star John Raitt. Raitt began playing guitar at an early age, something not a lot of her high school girlfriends did. "I had played a little at school and at camp," she later recalled in a July 2002 interview. "My parents would drag me out to perform for my family, like all parents do, but it was a hobby—nothing more...I think people must wonder how a white girl like me became a blues guitarist.
