Fingathing

Fingathing are an instrumental jazz / hip-hop band from Manchester, UK, comprising classically trained Double bass player Sneaky and DJ / turntablist Peter Parker. The duo first performed together as part of the backing band for Rae & Christian before teaming up. Over the course of the years, they have released several full length albums ; 'The Main Event' (2000), 'Superhero Music' (2002) and 'Fingathing and the Big Red Nebula Band' (2004), with a best of compilation following the year after.

John Paul Young

1. John Paul Young, is an Australian pop singer, known primarily for his worldwide hit Love Is In The Air. Born on June 21, 1950, in Glasgow, Scotland, his family relocated to Sydney when he was aged 11. After forming the band Elm Tree with schoolmates in 1967, he was discovered by renowned talent manager Simon Napier-Bell, who convinced his to sign as a solo artist with Albert Productions. It was here he began his long association with songwriters and record producers Harry Vanda and George Young of The Easybeats.

There are multiple artists that perform under the name Niko. 1)Niko is an American artist from Seattle/New York who in 2004 released an album on Grand Central Records, entitled "Life On Earth" . She is the front woman for Aim (Live!). She has also made appearances on albums such as, Gripper "A Life of Consummate Ease" (ATIC Records out Feb 2009), Aim "Flight 602" (ATIC Records 2006), Mr. Scruff "Trouser Jazz" (Ninja Tune 2002), Only Child "Solitaire" (Grand Central Records 2003), ANDY "Clear Visions" (Wave Records 2001).

Ian Pooley

German techno/house musician Ian Pooley (real name Ian Pinnekamp) debuted as half of T'N'I, a duo with dj Thomas "Tonka" Gerlach that released the EP Low Mass (Force Inc, 1991). The two morphed into Space Cube and eventually parted ways.
His early singles were collected on the first full-length under his own name, The Times (Force Inc, 1996). Meridian (V2, 1998) was substantially different from the "hard" style that had made his fortune, incorporating elements of pop, disco, soul and even jazz.

Anton Zap

Anton Zap was born in Moscow in 1979. He studied Chinese for 7 years and then embarked on a 2 year sound engineering course. He started collecting wax from a very young age and in the mid 90’s he joined Moscow’s underground lounge group, Tetris, led by Vlad Lozinsky. He was resident DJ at one of Moscow’s leading clubs, Propaganda from 1997-2005. He later started his own band, Papaztrio alongside Pavel Hotin and Yuriy Shulgin.

As a DJ he generally plays an eclectic mix of hip-hop, funk, reggae, breaks, electro and dubstep. His own music consists mainly of downtempo electronica, with hip-hop, dub, rock and jazz influences along with a variety of other forms of music. In 2009 he released 2 EPs on netlabels Dusted Wax Kingdom and KraaK Records, showing his talent and skills of producing impressive chill out and groovy music together. His debut LP, 'Nonentity' was released on KraaK Records in September 2010

DJ Trace

DJ Trace was an early member of the tight-knit crew of producers constituting popular techstep drum'n'bass label No U-Turn. His first crack at broad exposure came through the compilation "Techsteppin'" released on Emotif in 1995. It contained a number of tracks licensed from the No U-Turn studios, and helped seed a new direction in drum'n'bass, one characterized by heavy use of electronics, cavernous beats and basslines, and the dystopian histrionics that have since become trademarks of the No U-Turn/Nu Black sound.
