Huey Lewis & The News

Huey Lewis & the News is an Academy Award-nominated American band based in San Francisco, California. They had a run of hit singles during the 1980s and early 1990s, scoring a total of 19 top-ten singles across the US Billboard Hot 100, Adult Contemporary and Mainstream Rock charts. Their greatest success was with their number-one album, Sports. Their worldwide fame expanded when their recording of "The Power of Love" was featured as a key track in the 1985 movie "Back to the Future" (in which Lewis made a cameo appearance).

Moskitoo

Moskitoo is Sanae Yamasaki (b. 1978), a sound-artist and graphic designer residing in Sapporo, Japan. She began making music in 1997 playing guitar and small casio keyboards in various bands in Sapporo. In 2005 she began writing, playing, and singing under the moniker Moskitoo. "Drape" (2007, 12k1041) was her first full-length release. A 4 track EP with remixes shortly followed, featuring remixes by Frank Bretschneider, Mark Fell and Taylor Dupree, who was also the mastering engineer on "Drape".

Part Timer

Originally a member of electronica duo clickits, John McCaffrey moved from Accrington in the North West of England to Melbourne, Australia and started a solo project as part timer.
Concentrating on a mixture of delicate folk flavours and electronic augmentation, part timer has released albums on moteer, flau and lost tribe sound. Collaborations with multi-instrumentalist Aaron Martin have been released on mobeer and under the spire.

Rumpistol

Born in 1978, Jens Berents Christiansen is the man behind Rumpistol. He likes to work in the crossfield between melody based pop music and experimental sounds, but always maintains his characteristic warm sound. With great influences from dub he delivers an interesting take on electronica, click-hop and downbeat. Rumpistol's self-titled debut album was released in 2003 on Rump Recordings, and he has played many concerts in Denmark and abroad since then.
