Mirage

There are at least 14 bands named Mirage. 1) Mirage released numerous cover version megamixes of current pop hits during the eighties. Many of them were produced by Nigel Wright, sometimes together with Nigel Stock, John Davies & Robin Sellars. Mirage also had three vocalists that posed on the record-covers: Kiki Billy, Nicos Griffiths & Carlos Griffiths. 2) A cult hungarian new/darkwave band from the '80s.

Crispy Ambulance

Crispy Ambulance were formed in Manchester (UK) in 1978 by Alan Hempsall (vocals), Keith Darbyshire (bass), Gary Madeley (drums) and Robert Davenport (guitar). Following a self-released debut single From the Cradle to the Grave (Aural Assault, 1980) the band joined Factory Records. Singles Not What I Expected (Factory, 1980) and Live on a Hot August Night (Factory Benelux, 1981, produced by Martin Hannett) preceded the album The Plateau Phase (Factory Benelux, 1981), and final single Sexus (also Factory Benelux, 1981).

Sam Brown

Sam Brown (born 7 October 1964, in Stratford, London, UK) is an English Jazz and R&B singer. Her father was pop guitarist Joe Brown and her mother was a popular backing singer Vicki Brown.  She appeared as singer with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, and in 1977 she was a backing singer on the Small Faces' final album in the shade. Later, together with her mother as The Lillettes, she was a backing singer on Steve Marriott's Packet of Three: Live.

23 Skidoo

23 Skidoo cross , , , , and elements. The band had interests in martial arts, and drumming, Fela Kuti, The Last Poets, William S. Burroughs, as well as the emerging confluence of industrial music, and funk. 23 Skidoo was formed in North London, UK in 1979 as a post-punk trio. By 1980 they had grown into a quartet consisting of Fritz Catlin, Johnny Turnbull, Sam Mills and Patrick Griffiths.

Hue and Cry

They had a number of modest hits in the UK singles chart in the late 1980s, and early 1990s, and have released eleven albums from 1987 to date, selling over two million copies worldwide.

Two Time Polka

Two Time Polka formed in Cork in 1994 and have developed a distinctive sound that has its roots in Cajun, Zydeco, and Bluegrass music. They have built up an enviable reputation for turning out excellent live shows, including numerous performances at Irish festivals such as The Kilkenny Country Roots, The Dun Laoghaire Festival of World Cultures, The Cork Jazz Festival, The Galway Arts Festival, The Waterford Spraoi, The Cork Folk Festival to name but a few.

Michael McDonald

Michael McDonald (born February 12, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri) is an American R&B/soul singer (sometimes described as a "blue-eyed soul" singer), known for his trademark husky baritone voice. McDonald played in several local bands (such as Mike and the Majestics, Jerry Jay and the Sheratons, the Reebtoors, and The Guild) while attending McCluer High School in his hometown of Ferguson, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis.
