ShireySaid was born in 2001, founded by classical pianist and sound designer Giulia Scarantino and Alessandro Bottari (Drummer and percussionist) who’s passion is electronic programming.Coming from different musical backgrounds they fuse their diverse vibes to create their first unique sound in tracks such as “Angel Tears”, “Mother I’m So Cold”, “Definitely” and “He”). Defining their own inclination for Trip-Hop and Electronic Pop written in English Lyrics also receiving many inputs from varios musicians giving their individual talents to ShirleySaid as an open-project.

Emancipator

To some, it must seem like this young electronic producer came out of nowhere. Emancipator (Douglas Appling) played his first live show in July 2009, opening for Bonobo at the Roseland Theater (cap. 1500). Since then, he’s toured with Bassnectar, drawn crowds at festivals like Trinumeral and Symbiosis, and closed out Sound Tribe Sector 9’s late night parties in Denver at the request of the band.

Ben Christophers

Ben Christophers is an English singer-songwriter. He wrote his first song at the age of five and has released four full length albums: My Beautiful Demon, Spoonface, The Spaces In Between and a limited edition album called Viewfinder. In 2010 he released a self-titled mini-album and toured with Imogen Heap. He is also part of the Blue Dreams, the backing band for Bat For Lashes. Christophers has had two TV documentaries made on him by the VPRO in Holland. He has written with and duetted with Françoise Hardy and toured with Tori Amos.
