The Beat Junkies

The World Famous Beat Junkies is a Hip hop crew of (predominantly Filipino-American) hip hop DJs specializing in Turntablism. Established in 1992 in Orange County, California by J-Rocc who is African-American. The Beat Junkies have won prestigious DJ battles and competitions like the DMC, the Supermen, and International Turntablists Federation competitions and going to world tour exhibitions. They have traveled and performed across the United States as well as Japan, Germany, Amsterdam, and Canada.

DJ Kentaro

dj KENTARO is a Hip hop DJ from Japan. He came 3rd in the Technics DMC World DJ Final in 2001 and won it in 2002 at the age of 20. In doing so, he became the first ever Asian to win the DMC World DJ Final, receiving the highest score in DMC history in the process. He was signed to Ninja Tune independent record label and released a Solid Steel DJ mix album in September 2005, entitled On The Wheels of Solid Steel. The tracks on the album come exclusively from Ninja Tune's back catalogue.

Mr. Lif

Mr. Lif (born Jeffrey Haynes) is a Boston rapper who is currently signed to New York independent label Definitive Jux. Besides his solo career, Lif is also a member of the hip hop group The Perceptionists with long-time friends and collaborators Akrobatik and DJ Fakts One. Mr. Lif grew up in the neighbourhood of Brighton in Boston, MA. For two years he attended Colgate University, dropping out after becoming enamored with the hip hop music being produced at the time.

Dementio13

Dementio13 is a Cardiff-based producer/remixer; recording solo since 1999. His music is a curious mix of Krautrock-influenced drones, experimental electro, film soundtracks, post-rock, drum n bass and psychedelia. Dementio13 often deletes his older releases which no longer 'fit' his musical vision; in his own words, "Music is temporary." His back-catalogue is always changing.
He has also been involved in collaborative projects with the international duo Cwtch, the music collective, Sal Boca and his other solo project Diebenkorn.

Christian Marclay

Christian Marclay is a DJ, VJ, visual artist, audio artist and turntablist. He is the first non-rap DJ to make an art form out of the turntable, treating the instrument as a means to rip songs apart, not bridge them together. His work demonstrates the effect sounds and music have on us from the sublime tap tap tap of a foot on the floor to the bombastic crescendo of an orchestra. Mr. Thing

Mr. Thing is a DJ and turntablist from the UK. He is also a former member of The Scratch Perverts with whom he won the DMC World Team Championships in 1999. He's a massive fan of Adidas Superstar sneakers and even mixed a CD for the launch of their 35th Anniversary editions in 2006.

DJ QBert

Q-Bert (born 1969) is the performing name of Richard Quitevis, a Filipino-American (of Ilocano descent) DJ and music-writer. Living in San Francisco, he started playing with records at the age of 15 and was influenced by the street performers of San Francisco's hip-hop community in the mid 1980s. He started his musical career in a group called FM20 with Mix Master Mike and Apollo in 1990. They were playing a show in New York when Crazy Legs saw them and invited them to join the Rock Steady Crew.
