Wino can refer to a new American metal band, an American noise rock band or a Japanese alternative rock band. 1) Wino is the name of the new band of Scott 'Wino' Weinrich of Saint Vitus, The Obsessed, Spirit Caravan and The Hidden Hand-fame. They have released one album 'Punctuated Equilibrium' in 2009. Shortly after the supporting European tour in April Wino's bass player Jon Blank died of an overdose.

(1) The best-known The Body is a two-piece sludge metal band based in Providence, Rhode Island, United States (formed in 1999), with heavy, low riffs, high-pitched screaming vocals, and occasional samples. They have released two full length records, a collaborative album with Braveyoung, an EP, splits with Get Killed and Whitehorse, a demo, and an anthology of their EPs, 7 inches, demos, ect.
Formed in 2002, originally hailing from Phoenix, AZ and now residing in Oakland, California, Graves at Sea play a very droney, slow, painful sounding type of sludge. With members coming from previous bands and one member having knowledge in sound engineering their first demo went extremely well and immediately caught some attention in the doom metal subculture, promptly causing the band to get signed and start producing legit material and in turn, gaining even more praise in the metal scene.

Among the factories, refineries, and stockyards on the down-side of Denver, Black Lamb took shape, from the ashes of, or as a respite from, some of the best metal, punk and rock & roll bands in the area . . .And now with a handful of self-releases under its belt, Black Lamb continues to be lauded by fans and peers alike.
Black Pyramid hails from Western Massachusetts. The band is currently comprised of Darryl Shepard (formerly of Milligram, Blackwolfgoat, Hackman, Roadsaw) on vocals and guitar, Clay Neely (formerly of Artimus Pyledriver) on drums and David Gein (of gein and the graverobbers) on the bass guitar. The band plays a solid mixture of classic metal, stoner doom, and psychedelic rock, with clear influences drawn from Black Sabbath, Sleep, High on Fire and Electric Wizard.
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Blood Ceremony was formed in 2006. Blood Ceremony is a psychedelic experience with a doom twist. Female vocalist Alia O'Brien's gives a slightly eerie feeling to the music at times. The bands name was adopted from the 1972 Spanish-horror film, Ceremonia Sangrienta.
