Conceived and inspired by the unrelenting spirit of grind, AMDBL fuses dark melody and brooding insight to deliver an onslaught of uncompromising atmospheric composition; creating a unique blend of extreme themes and influences. Though we ourselves have no recollection of the event; people tell us we appeared somewhere between the beginning of the end of the world and 2008.
February 8 2007: The trashy nightclub had sold out hours before hand. The supports have been and gone. The lights were dim and there was a hum amongst the crowd. Friends had been talking about the first show for well over a year. The anticipation was swelling as people were jostling for position. When the first stomach-churning chord rung out there was no denying things would be different from that point on.
There is more than one artist with this name: 1.) New Yorkians Antarctica transcend the realm of consciousness into a world entirely their own. They build upon the dark overtones and the gloomy pop sensibility of The Cure and Slowdive while taking epic steps in new aesthetics. Their albums gesture to Antarctica's ability to blend melancholy and joy in epic structure. Vocalist Eric Richter once also fronted the influential emo band Christie Front Drive and has gone on to be in The 101 and Golden City.
There is more than one artist under the name of Cleric 1.) A four piece from Philadelphia, Cleric's music mixes elements of grindcore, avant garde composition, doom and... something else entirely? Influenced by other metal pioneers such as Meshuggah, Converge, Fantômas, and Neurosis, their music zeroes in on a level of brutality and experimentation that a single band rarely maintains even for a few seconds.
(Taken from TSA Facebook Page) Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Forming via a viral pipeline in 2009, The Schoenberg Automaton comes to life. Rhythmic and surging, an eclectic mix of spasmodic pulses and mechanical grindings coming from the minds of a few hidden within the River City, featuring members of Empyrean, Function Cease, and Cross the Lips of Grace. Saturated in a dark and contemporary noir The Schoenberg Automaton are preparing to unleash what can only be described as a modern, devastating and violent audible assault.
Hayworth is 4 dudes from random spots in the small state of Rhode Island. They are characterized by frenetic fretwork, devestating breakdowns, eclectic music breaks and anguished vocals that shriek cleverly thought out and overtly sexual lyrics. They've released 3 EPs, and two full-length. This band has gained a fairly large following within the last 4 years of it's existence, and the numbers keep climbing.
The band has undergone many transformations in the time since we made the move to Australia. We said goodbye to a member, shed the old skin and engaged a new approach. Now we feel like this ever-changing mechanism has finally shifted up a gear. Kallie - Vocals (2005-2007)
Alex - Guitar (2006-2008)
Otis - Drums (? - 2011) Ben - Guitar
