Pentagram

There is more than one band with this name: 1) Originating from Arlington, Virginia, United States of America, one of the earliest doom bands around, having been around in one form or another since 1971, it's safe to say that Pentagram had a big impact on Sabbath inspired doom metal that was to follow over the next decade. The band also strongly intertwines with the band Bedemon and is sometimes seen as one and the same.

Their first release, "La vierge noire" MLP, includes 5 songs of ancient metal darkness. The warm, unpolished production and the eerie atmosphere will transport you to the darkest parts of antique cemeteries. Pounding rhythmic percussion, earthy guitar tones, mystical female vocals and intricate changes in textures in this record open a new passageway to the soul of pure metal.

There are two bands named Archivist. One [1] from Montreal (long live Marie-Joseph Angélique) and one [2] from Belgium (long live King Leopold III). (1) It has become a common place to credit the deathly cold of Montreal’s lengthy winter season for the hot-chronology of creative outpour that has entered the global music scene from Canada’s tiny heart-shaped island. Archivist’s debut release Learning to Live on Poison, does not present an exception to this particular rule, though it will inevitably be accused of challenging a great many others.
