Ahmad Jamal

Celebrated pianist-composer Ahmad Jamal continues his performance schedule around the world, as he has for well over the last four decades. Noted for his outstanding technical command and identifiable sound as a piano stylist, Mr. Jamal was born on July 2, 1930, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A child prodigy who began to play the piano at the age of three, he began formal studies at age seven. While in high school, he completed the equivalent of college master classes under the noted African-American concert singer and teacher Mary Cardwell Dawson and pianist James Miller.

Kalon

Kalon is 1) a space/math rock band, local to Pittsburgh and 2) a UK techno outfit made up of Peter Sutton and Karl Meier. The US band is: Adam Rauf, Eric Belcastro, Mike Dodin, Rob Wallace, and Ben Rainey. They formed in 2003 and recorded their first full-length LP, Dark Sky, Bright Sun, in 2005. They continue to perform in and around Pittsburgh and are recording a new album in the Spring/Summer of 2008.

Belie My Burial

Belie My Burial is a five piece metalcore/death outfit out of Pittsburgh, PA. The band was originally formed by guitarists Adam Wells and Wyatt Sheer, who immediately recruited the services of Tim Dutkovic on bass and Kory Malone on vocals. A brief search turned up drummer Zach Elenberger, and the band soon began writing and playing shows. After the band's first full east coast tour, original drummer Zach Elenberger was relieved of his duties and Brette Ciamarra stepped in to fill his position.

Mac Miller

Mac Miller is a rapper from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania who is also known for his work in The Ill Spoken group. In 2009, he released his mixtape The High Life as well as his own preview album, The Jukebox, which is the predecessor to his upcoming Class Clown album. On August 13th 2010, he released his mixtape, KIDS (Kickin' Incredibly Dope Shit) and is available for download on DatPiff.com and can be obtained physically from his MySpace page. In anticipation of this release, he released a series of videos of a few songs from the mixtape on the official TreeJTV YouTube page.

Wiz Khalifa

Cameron Jibril Thomaz (born September 8, 1987 in Minot, North Dakota), better known by his stage name Wiz Khalifa, is an American rapper based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, signed to Rostrum Records. According to the Black and Yellow Songfacts, his stage name is derived from khalifa, an Arabic word meaning "successor", and wisdom, which was shortened to Wiz when Khalifa was fifteen. In 2005 he released his first official mixtape, Prince of the City: Welcome to Pistolvania, and later in 2006 he released his first full length street album entitled Show and Prove.

Camera

Quite rightly regarded as one of the finest Welsh bands to emerge in recent years, Camera, from Wrexham, North Wales have built a reputation as creators of a very particular brand of unforgettable music. Building on a base of finely-tuned yet understated musicianship, Camera's music overflows with haunting, over-lapping melodies, creating their highly individual sound. Irukandji

Irukandji can refer to four bands: 1. Irukandji is a Melodic Death Metal band from Ford City, PA. Their official band page is https://www.facebook.com/irukandjiofficial 2. Irukandji is a female fronted progressive metal/hard rock band from Norwich, England formed in 2007 under the name Strength of Presence, (initially as a semi-acoustic trio of two guitars and lead female vocals). In 2008 they recruited a drummer and a bassist and changed their name to Irukandji, to reflect the harsher more aggressive nature of their music.
