There is a number of artists known as "George" ...the 3 most notable are: 1) An Australian group, with sibling members, Katie Noonan & Tyrone Noonan - both classically-trained musician / vocalists. They have released two albums, the first of which was the multi-platinum, ARIA-award-winning album, Polyserena, and eight EPs / singles. 2) A Manchester, UK duo of Suzy Mangion & Michael Varty. Both of them play the instruments no one else wants - old keyboards and organs, Christmas presents from the Eighties, from charity shops, corners at parties.
Takida, a five piece rock band from Ånge, Sweden, started out in 1999 and they have worked hard to get where they are today. They have been touring all around Sweden and built quite a reputation as a solid live rockband. Their fanbase is growing as we speak. Their first demo Old was only produced in 500 copies and sold out immediately, Old was recorded in year 2000. It was followed up by the EP T2 (2000), the full length album Takida (2001), the ep Gohei (2003) and the ep Thorns (2004).
In 2010 New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys joined together to form super-boyband NKOTBSB. They first performed together on the American Music Awards and have a tour coming in 2011. "Don't Turn Out the Lights" is the first single released by the super group, which went on air for the first time on Ryan Seacrest's show. The single will be released on a greatest hits collection CD in May, having 5 hits from each group. As on now, the single is available on iTunes.
There is more than one artist with the name Embrace, the first two of whom are significant:
1) a five-piece indie band from Leeds, England, who have enjoyed significant success in UK, including three number one albums and six Top 10 singles
2) a Post-Hardcore/Post-Punk band from Washington D.C. that had a galvanizing influence on the Washington, D.C. punk scene of the 80's and featured Ian MacKaye (who subsequently formed Fugazi)
3) a Dutch Trance duo
4) a Canadian Gothic Metal band
The band was formed by guitarists Arthur "Ace" Enders (who was born on April 19th and grew up in Bass River, New Jersey, before moving to Hammonton, New Jersey) & Jim Sacco along with bassist Sergio Anello and drummer Jeff Kummer in Hammonton, New Jersey in February 2001. Together, they recorded a 5 track demo in Enders' basement and sent it, along with a poorly edited videotape to only one label: Drive-Thru Records.
Pollyanna is the name of two musical artists : *Existing in the mid to late 90s, but still popular today, Pollyanna were an Australian indie/alternative rock band. The band consisted of, at various times, Matt Handley, Maryke Stapleton, Ace Moley, Andy Strachan, Shaun Lohoar, Glenn Maynard and Serge Luca.

They were originally a Sydney band but then later relocated to Melbourne (in 1997).
Chevelle is an alternative metal band from Grayslake, IL. They formed in 1994 with the members of Sam Loeffler, Pete Loeffler (brothers) and Matt Scott. Matt was later replaced in 1996 by Joe Loeffler as bass player. On July 10, 2005 Joe was fired because of "irreconcilable differences". Geno Lenardo (Filter) filled in until August 2005, when Dean Bernardini (brother-in-law to the Loefflers) became the new bass player of Chevelle.
Based in Manchester (UK) Our Innocence Lost are an Emo/Scene/New Wave/Rock band that have been compared to My Chemical Romance, Panic at the Disco and early Manic Street Preachers. Energy, twinned guitars and unforgettable melody merge with instantly identifiable lyrics leaving the listener feeling very much a part of the band. O.I.L were brought to life a little over a year ago but the embryo of the band stretches way back when James met with a then 15 year old virtuoso guitarist named Craig Robinson...
There are at least two artist with name Makoto: 1. Based in Tokyo, Makoto Shimizu, better known as simply Makoto, is Japan's chief Drum & Bass ambassador. After completing an Acoustic Engineering major at Nippon University, Makoto first signed with LTJ Bukem's legendary Good Looking Records back in 1999.
Since then he has gone from strength to strength, releasing a long string of quality music in the form of singles and EP's, but also on the famous 'Earth' and 'Progression Sessions' compilation albums.
